Big week for a lot of teams. This week should separate some playoff positions
Streator @ Manteno - Must win for Streator to stay alive in any kind of playoff chase. Unfortunately proabably going to be their last win of the season with Lisle, Wilmington and Peotone on their schedule. Streator 27 Manteno 13
RC @ Lisle - RC showed a lot of improvement this week. The Loomis kid is a hell of an athlete. But Lisle and McGrath will be way too much for them. RC may keep it close the first half but I see the Lions dominating this one. Lisle 41 RC 14
CC @ Sandwich - CC has won the last two weeks in ugly fashion. Injuries has forced a lot of guys to play both sides of the ball. Good news is they seem to be healthy. McMurtrey back last week and Skubic and Pullara back this week. Sandwich hot start has done a 180. Two losses in a row and this will be no different. CC in a big statement win to virtually lock up the I8 Large crown. CC 34 Sandwich 7
Plano @ Peotone - Peotone coming off its biggest I8 win in recent history. Their run game is probably the best in the conference. Plano kept it close with CC last week and is getting better every week. Plano impressed me, they were a lot better in person than on film. I am calling upset here, Peotone with the Wilmington game hangover and Plano gaining confidence. Plano gets a step closer to the playoffs Plano 24 Peotone 20
GAME OF THE WEEK Herscher @ Wilmington - Really a must win for both teams if they want to play past week 9. Herscher has looked much better with Hendrix at QB and Dorsey seems to be back on track after getting bottled up against CC. Wilmington has been really up and down this year. Seems to be lacking consistent play. Wildcats need to control the line of scrimmage and the clock. I see a second loss in a row for Coach Reents, Herscher 30 Wilmington 20
