So with this being said, the Kentucky boards saying they've supposedly moved on from their recruitment of Malik, and the Clarion Ledger article where Malik said horatio wants him to go to state and that MSU has a good chance to sign him. Does it appear the stars may be aligning to bring the prodigy to the Maroon and White? The wool is thick from football and it might be bleeding over to the hard court.

To be honest, college basketball more than any other sport, why wouldn't a school with no other stars be attractive to a sure fire 1-and-done?

I think that's where his dad really helps out. He's got a basketball mind in his ear.

The storyline is that we sign a #1 player and he takes "the worst major conference basketball team in the country" to 20+ wins? Of course that's not ENTIRELY true... But that's what would be perceived by many.

That's the only shot I think we have at getting him. If he decides there's a guy he wants to play with or we end up kicking more players off the team... Game over. We basically have to be average this year to get him. But I think we can.
