The NCAA was maybe getting bored with nothing to do, and for sure missing the days when they could adjudicate their own outcomes...

There are several organizations that have out-lived their usefulness; the NCAA is one of those. Their recent failure to step in front of the recent controversy over gender identity is in Women’s sports is an example of their ineptitude. Not sure how much longer it will take before the P5 conferences decide to leave the NCAA, in favor of creating their own organization that more closely resembles the reality of today.

The NCAA doesn’t like that the IARP is being fair about handing out penalties. They’re not as political about who gets sanctioned and who doesn’t as the NCAA is.
Forde pretty much stated this in around about way. He then went on too say with this move by the NCaa it could be good news for the remaining schools . That are up for adjudicating with IARP. They know now they are going out of business so they might just say the heck with any severe punishments. I could see that scenario . But not holding out any luck for U of L though.
