Well, they essentially see Tupelo as the obvious choice for the location of such a series of games; however, they feel that since it is so successful, they should be entitled to some of the monetary benefits that our team gets due to all of our team's hard work in Tupelo for the last 2 years. I can't speak for the organization as a whole by a long shot, this is just a personal opinion of one man; but I believe they see how incredible the results are that the Ice Dawgs' work has yielded, and they want in on the success that MSU's sweat, time, and money has gone into after just showing up and playing two huge losing games in front of capacity crowds. MSU earned that building, Ole Miss needs to work on building its program in Southaven, MS instead of hopping on over to MSU's house and asking for a cut of the profits and then crossing their arms and saying they don't want to play with us anymore if we disagree. We built our program, they can build theirs.
In regards to the Egg Cup Trophy, there were promises to the team to provide one by a group that went unfulfilled. It would surely be nice to have a trophy with the whole team's roster listed on it.
The schedule is being finalized, I believe...I do know the opponents of the games in Tupelo this year, thus far for sure.
