We recruit Alabama a lot and we've already been to the liberty. Plus I don't want to see us play Rice or Marshall, bowl games are fun for playing name opponents. That's why I liked the OK State game

Playing Houston is like groundhog day all over again. I'd rather play Rutgers for more national exposure.

Playing this bowl game isn't that big of a deal for recruiting. Only Birmingham area specifically maybe, but we already play one game a year in the state of AL, and we've been doing that for a long, long time. I don't think we currently have anyone on the team from Birmingham or a player from there recently. We are recruiting Marlon Humphrey from there and couldn't land his brother from there a few years back. We've got a big enough presence in the B-ham area, so I'm good with going to the better bowl, which is the Liberty Bowl in my opinion. I like playing on New Year's Eve.

Why don't we just fly our recruits to our bowl game, wherever it is, straight from their high school all-star game?
