And what the hell would M Jones know about it, has he figured out that a football isn't round yet?

I don't know, jauk. You're pretty hard on him. Ol' Matt sounded pretty upset yesterday. This lost touched him, no doubt about it.

Matt Jones proving again he is ignorant about football and about announcing football. His ignorance is outdone only by his arrogance.

He is a grown man, was he pretty hard on one of our young AMATEUR players that I am absolutely sure feels worse about his drops than anyone on here?

I think the loss was upsetting to anyone remotely connected with UK, even basketball fans.

As harsh as it may sound, I'm struggling to find one thing that Baker is good at on the football field. He has terrible hands. He is an awful blocker. And frankly, I saw a guy who didn't give maximum effort at many points of the season. So what does he do well?

I hear what you're saying but I don't think Baker feels too bad about dropping passes. A lot of the players just totally changed during the season. May never know exactly what went wrong but I think the Towles / Barker 'issue' was more of a problem than some think.

It's important to separate these two things. The matter of caring about the team/being ignorant about the sport versus criticizing a kid.

The first two are stupid criticisms because he obviously cares at least enough to still talk about football on his show when he could be deep into cheery exclusive basketball talk by now. And he never claims to be a football sage unlike some of the goobers on here.

The last is a perfectly legitimate criticism - it's a totally respectable opinion to state that you shouldn't blast the kids.

But it's also hypocritical unless in your entire posting history, you've never blasted an amateur player. That is true for almost no one on this forum, so in reality "he's a jerk for going after amateurs" is more likely a hypocritical excuse to go after the guy.

Truth is Baker has dropped more freebies than any receiver I can ever remember. Just the ones in this last game cost us the W... There were like 4 which came at critical junctures.

MJ's comment is funny and accurate. The blind jealousy some of you have toward Jones is just kinda sad.
I don't have a problem with Jones' comment, but every time someone has something critical to say about Jones, someone comes up with this "you're jealous of Matt Jones" BS. It's just ridiculous. I doubt many people here know the man personally. It's like claiming people are jealous of Dick Vitale because they don't care for his schtick.
