In the big three sports there is nonstop yelling, stompingand (sometimes)bell ringing. It goes on all the time. When the other pitcher is winding up, when the quarterback is calling the count, and when the basktball player is shooting the free shot. However in tennis and golf everything is quiet when the dude of the moment is getting ready. Now, although I don'tunderstand the necessity ofthat tradition I canlive with it, because it is what it is. But, it seems like you people are complaining about noise AFTER the guy hits the ball and I just don't understand. Is the limp-wristed golf/tennis clap all that is proper?
