couple that employee would probably lose their job, however, if that same employee refused to serve a cop - then all is good?

Yeah I know they fired the Manager (why) and suspended the employee (really?), but, why didn't they just fire that employee and get on with it?

The manager was fired because the manager got involved and didn't force the employee to serve the officer. Why the employee was only suspended is insane.

If they fired the manager and suspended the employee ... how do you reach the conclusion that all is good? Clearly Arby's didn't condone those actions so I'm wondering where your point is?

The right are the Kings of faulty analogies, Hillary is free Kim Davis is in Jail, now they must just be waiting on the apocalypse, anyone remember that GOP outreach thing they talked about after Mitt got stomped for not being conservative enough?

If that employee refused to serve someone because of their race or sexual orientation, they (the employee) would have been fired. However, for some strange reason, Arby's has refused the employee for discriminating against a police officer. How is that okay?

Maybe he/she will end up getting fired. Submit a FOIA requesting all relevant documents since you're so interested in this case.

Why was the manager fired? Without knowing the story, if the manager was fired for it then it would stand to reason that the employee was acting on the direction of the manager.

You don't know that, you are simply assuming it. At the very least, the manager should have taken the police officer's order in place of the employee. Did the cop want a liter-o-cola?

Because apparently the employee actually didn't refuse to server the officer, but was busy and asked the manager to take over.

"
The two men were working at the restaurant, 11755 Pines Blvd., when Sgt. Jennifer Martin said she was told by Mirabal that Davenport refused to ring up her order after accepting her credit card.

The Pembroke Pines police chief demanded and quickly received an apology Wednesday from the Arby's restaurant chain after one of the city's uniformed officers reported being denied service "due to being a police officer." The incident allegedly happened Tuesday evening at the Arby's at 11755 Pines Blvd. in the Pembroke Lakes Mall.

(Marian Liu / Sun Sentinel)
“He doesn’t want to serve you because you are a police officer,” Martin quoted Mirabal as saying.

Davenport said the comment from Mirabal was an attempt at a joke that backfired.

After finding himself so busy with other customers than he could not complete Martin’s transaction, Davenport said he asked Mirabal for help. That’s when Mirabal made his remark, Davenport said."

An Arby’s employee in Florida who allegedly refused to serve a Pembroke Pines police officer service for being a cop says it was all just a joke and not a refusal of service.

CBS Miami reports that Kenny Davenport, 19, said he was working at Arb's when Pembroke Pines Police Sergeant Jennifer Martin pulled up to the drive thru window.

According to a police report on the incident, Martin was told by a manager at the restaurant that an employee, now identified as Kenny Davenport, did not want to serve her. The manager allegedly said, “He doesn’t want to serve you because you are a police officer.”

As for Kenny Davenport, he told CBS Miami he sees little point in explaining himself.

“There’s no point in talking,” he said. “I’m 19. She’s an officer and I’m colored.”

then by all rights that Arby's employee should be very careful not to get into any trouble....in a perfect world the call would go to the very same cop....who could then return the favor and refuse service.......take THAT *****
