If Byrne actually pulled the trigger and hired Chris Peterson from Boise State...

he would be an instant MSU legend. If he does this, I predict that Byrne will be the athletic director at a Major College in less than 4 years. It would certainly be an aggressive, proactive athletic administrative style that we aren't used to seeing at MSU.

It wouldn't be a big deal if he got taken from us real fast. If he could manage to thrust our program into the right direction before he left then I'll be more than satisfied with the job he did at MSU. So far he has revived the baseball fanbase and put in a $6.1 mil HD board at the stadium. We are currently in production of the basketball practice facility and indoor baseball practice facility. If he got us a good football coach he would deserve legendary status for the amount of things he got done in short amount of time.

Honestly, what is the job market like for a bigtime Athletic Director? How many jobs come available that would be better than ours? I have only heard of ADs being changed a handful of times in the SEC in the last 10 years or so. I would think unless he wanted a change that we could be competitive in pay with most schools in the country for an AD that was getting things done for us.
