If Cam Newton and Mullen have such a bad relationship.....

How did he get him over to play "Scene It"?

From KV's article today -

It's a competition infinitely more intense, played around the television in the Mullen family's old home in Gainesville, Fla.
It's the sports trivia Scene-It game, the one "powered by" ESPN.
There, Mullen was invincible.
"Players never actually beat him because he's so old and he knows all those old players and stuff," Tebow said.
Mullen's wife, Megan, agrees.
"Yeah, because Dan's an old man," she said, laughing. "... They used to just jump up and scream at the TV, he and Cam (Newton, a former Florida quarterback)."

I asked myself the same things. I don't think I'd be spending my free time in college over someone's house playing games if I didn't get along with them, my offensive coordinator or not.

I read where Newton said he and Mullen talk all the time.

I thought maybe something had happened I missed.

but if we don't it won't be because they have a bad relationship. Actually, the only way we do get him is because of their good relationship.

It will be all about opportunity, national exposure, weapons at his disposal and a chance to win. In that order I believe.

to believe what they want, and there are obviously a few stories/interviews out there which contradict what my guy has told me about the Mullen/Newton relationship. Unfortunately not all sources have the same weight and reliability and I am inclined to believe what my guy has to say, I'll leave it at that. Maybe we revisit this issue after Cam makes his decision, I'll be the first to say I was wrong, and again I hope I am and that Mullen and Cam are tight and Mullen is able to use his relationship with Cam to leverage that into Cam coming to MSU.

Try EVERY story/interview I've seen contradicts your story. As does the fact that Newton lists us as one of the leaders for his signature.

That's right. The horse's mouth always trumps "my guy". Are you just really stubborn, or retarded?

that you and your guy are both douchebags. Now some people will have their doubts and perhaps other information but they obviously don't have the inside scoop like my guys does. So, since he is the guy it's settle. Douchebags.

Honestly, if I knew a "guy" that was giving me "information" that was completely contradicted by every interview ever given by anyone associated with Newton or Mullen, I'd probably stop believing that that "guy" had any clue as to what the hell he was talking about. The last thing I would do would be to stake my internet cred on it. After all, who wants to go through the pain of getting a new username after the impending humiliation?

If Newton doesn't commit to State, and there is a very good chance he does not, it won't be because some poster's "guy" was right.

Certainly the most educated thing you've ever said.

I'm just reporting why my guy told me. As I said, you may have heard something different but I gotta go with my guy. As I am sure you would understand, even more than most people, an anonymous source who I refuse to name on a message board is about as iron clad as it gets. I'm on your side in this whole thing, just telling what our guys said shouldn't get us in trouble with other people. It's a Message Board for Christ's sake, if we can't be civil here what is the world coming to?

I've got a friend who goes to Blinn CC and he's real good friends with Cam Newton. He said that last weekend him and Cam were watching football at his apartment and Cam was wearing MSU pajama pants and said that he was definitely going to State cause Mullen's his boy. Is YOUR friend good friends with Cam also? I didnt think so.
