While in the Navy, Hamilton played 7 games of major league professional basketball for the Wilmington Bombers of the American Basketball League. He was head basketball coach at Washington & Lee for two seasons and was the long-time athletic director at Marietta (Ohio) High School.</p></blockquote><p></p>
