Eli has thrown 15 int's in 6 games and his completion percentage has dipped down to 54%, which is awful for a NFL QB. If he keeps up at this rate, which is what the poster predicated his question on, he'll have thrown 40 picks. I find it highly unlikely that he keeps on playing this poorly, but if he does, the Giants won't have a choice but to at least consider looking for a replacement.

No, moron.

The giants are a perineal playoff team. When will they have a chance to draft this high again? They could draft a qb to sit behind Eli a few years. Eli has stunk it up like no other this year. My question was stated "...if Eli's struggles continue...". So if Eli throws 40 ints there's no way the giants think about drafting qb and I'm a moron for thinking it. Uhhh ok...

So many incredible linemen in this coming draft, which is really where the Giants have sucked this year.... on both sides. The value with QB's this year will be in the 3rd and 4th. There are a ton of good QB's but not good enough to be drafted before that... so I fully expect the Giants to take one then, but they have to shore up what's really plaguing this team.

I've already ranted about how as an NFL fan, take away MSU and whatnot, I hate Eli Manning, so I'm not defending him. Where I live they show every Giants game (even last night on public access) so I watch them, and it's not entirely on Eli's shoulders. His first pick last night was because Reuben Randle ran the wrong route and the last one was through the hands of his tightend. Otherwise he's being sacked. His entire OL is hurt and his receivers can only run vertical routes.

If they finish #2 behind Jacksonville I expect them to trade spots, with the Giants getting Clowney and the Jags getting Bridgewater.

Favre was 36 at the time, and had been talking about retirement for 3 years. Manning has shown no signs of slowing down. Going 0-5 isn't reason enough to undermine a guy who's won 2 Super Bowls.

True. The question was if he continues this all year though.

Exactly. The Giants are where they are because they have drafted low and poorly. They continually failed to take oline high and are now paying the price. They can't pass or run block and that play action offense needs both. They got a steal last year by taking the Syracuse qb Nassib who some had rated as a first rounder. Some questioned taking the qb in the fourth but it looks good now. They need to trade down and build their oline back. Eli is struggling because of his oline. I can't believe he suddenly turned to crap overnight.

Favre talked about retiring at 32, specifically telling Ed that he just wanted to be home mowing his grass. Aaron Rodgers was the result of that and him falling to the 2nd half of the 1st round, not the picks.

Eli is a good, solid NFL QB whose team got hot twice in the playoffs..
he's not an elite level QB.. he's only been under 15 INTs two times in his career. His completion percentage is routinely pretty good but it's not great by NFL standards

The issue is on the offensive line, not at QB.
