If he can, will Mullen run it up against Jxn State?

I know that the SWAC hasn't fared well against D1 talent lately. And I think Croom left some of it on the team. But with all the positive talk going around about energy and expectations and excitement, if the Jackson State game is a blowout in the 3rd quarter, does Mullen call off the Dogs, or does he keep working on schemes, depth chart, personnel, and going for the endzone each drive?

Since we are not scheduled to see them again, I think he will run it up, that is if he can. Never know what we have until we actually suit them up and line it up on the field. We might want to run it up and not be able to.

If he's able to run it up with the reserves, then he damn well better do it. Our fanbase deserves an offensive explosion after putting up with the walrus for the past 5 years.

runs it up as much as possible the first 3 quarters... enough to let JSU and OUR fans know we've cut the throat and we could go further if we wanted too.. we'll go as far as to solidify the win with the least amount of plays as possible.

we'll take auburn to the woodshed with what they'll see on our gametape against JSU, plus what wasn't let out of the bag

this goes hand in hand in why I think he's been so quiet. maybe i'm wrong, we'll see... i'd like to think i'm on target.

Even if you're playing against a team whose defensive unit is incredibly inferior to yours, you are better off perfecting more of your offense in a game than in practice. We can perfect kneeling and halfback dives in practice.

run up the score on anybody.
Whenever you change/learn a new offense it takes two years to fully understand and get the right fit players for that system.

I use Michigan as a great example. They have more talent than us but last year struggled extremely because they were learning a new system under a new coach.
They didn't score more than 29 points in one single game except Purdue they put up 42.

I agree about doing it with the reserves. Why risk getting a starter hurt, just to run up the score.

we are in big trouble for the rest of the year. I would like for the 4th string to get to play.

score every damn point that he can, so that there will still be a decent attendance for the next home game

"Running up the score" = playing most downs like its 3rd and 15 and you're down by 2 scores. We won't do that - not on purpose.
