I agree 100% (including your comments on Todd). But your main point is one I have always harped on for years. And that is, you damn well better have some mashers if you want to win consistently at this level. HIT THE 17ing BASEBALL. I know you have to have serviceable pitching and fielding, but you don't have to have a staff full of Paplebons, Brantleys, Powells, DuBoses, etc. The staff we have is what I consider "serviceable". But it is beyond me why Cohen can't get guys in here that can perform the whole basis of this game--- HIT THE 17ing BASEBALL! We have not done this in the fashion needed for a long time now and it is frustrating beyond belief. Nothing wrong with small ball as long as you have solid baseball talent. Small ball will still score runs when you have guys that can hit solid singles and line drive doubles, or even long fly balls in sac situations. You make half a mil a year, Cohen, get it done damnit! Get the guys here that can do that, and do it NOW, or carry your ***! For some reason, he has not been able to instill his knowledge of the game in his players, cannot accurately determine what type of specific player is required to fulfill our needs on the field, is just missing on player evaluation, or making stupid game decisions, I don't know. But that's what the half a mil a year is for. I want him to have success as much as anyone, but he is about to get on my last nerve.
