Here's a better question.....

If Kennedy gets fired, how many of our looney toons would want us to hire him and get rid of Ray?*

I'd hope for Michael White out of La. Tech. He has been pretty successful. But really, until they replace the Sad Pad there's not a lot I can hold against AK. Games like this are embarrassing but at some point your players have to stop missing wide open shots and that's not on Kennedy.

The Tad Pad doesn't hurt your recruiting. Players want to go to Ole Miss because y'all have a grove, the Library, white girls that swallow, and USA Today's most beautiful campus. All these things trump a leaky ceiling. Y'all have proven in football that your team can suck for years but still sign a top recruiting class overnight. You just have to outwork the competition, have a pastor for a coach, and natural ins with players. So don't worry that your facilities leak, the power goes out, and your team hasn't been to the NCAA in close to a decade.

You can certainly win with a crappy stadium, but you can't really win when your program is playing a distant 3rd fiddle. I'd say the chances of doing better than AK with the next coach are slightly less than 50-50, unless you have an in with a good up and coming coach. Did Michael White play for UM when Barnes was there? Or is this somebody different?

The "Lilly Pad" is such a leaky piece of sh*t even promises of beejes by the Fun Girls from Mount Pilot aren't enough to get top recruits. You need to be a double amputee to fit in those seats.

He played for Evans;

Barnes may have been the coach his senior year. Interestingly, and completely unrelated, Michael White's dad is the AD at Duke.

Think he played for Barnes one year, b/c I remember it being a big deal that his dad was the AD at ASU and hired Evans away.

I can see why White would be a good coach. He was heady, a real gym rat and deceptively fast.**

I'd at least consider it if I were them.

I don't think it's likely Stansbury returns to form, but it's not like they want to put resources into basketball anyway, and it's possible Stansbury might want to prove us wrong. Worst case scenario, Stansbury at UM makes it a lot harder for Ray to recruit the players he needs.

I'd be curious whether Stansbury would be interested. Doubt he wants to move his family and might make it awkward if he wants to come back later. But he could stay in the same retirement system (I think) and surely there is part of him that wants to prove he can still coach and part of him that wants to rub it in our face.

Exactly. They are kind of destroying their football recruiting party line by saying the Tad Pad is hurting them in recruiting.
