If not for Sims, Mizzou would have swept us

Definitely drops us from the 2-4 National Seed range to the 5-8 range. Tennessee will jump ahead of us at the very least. Strangely enough TCU lost a home series to UL Monroe so we aren’t the only Top 8 team that crapped the bed.

Our RPI dropped down to 8 so it’s not a disaster but it’s problematic. I would imagine if we can take a road series in Tuscaloosa we will make up some of the ground we lost.

Just to be clear, I meant we took Thursday (until the 7th inning), Friday and today off.

Your solution to not taking a team seriously....

Yeah, but that ain't what I'm talking about.

.....is to give them time off??

If this isn’t the worst week of these 17ers baseball lives, we’re in trouble. And the IB needs to make sure our Jr. coaching staff comes to Jesus this week. Sadly, I’m not sure either happen.

I’m definitely concerned by the fact that Bama is very much a bubble team and needs a series win against us badly. We will get their best shot, and I’m not sure they will get ours if this weekend is any indication. Clearly have to play significantly better.

Some of y'all wouldn't last a month as a baseball coach and I'm being generous on the month. It's 17ing baseball. Good teams lose to **** teams ALL THE TIME. The Dodgers are barely above .500 right now and that's with being able to spend half a billion dollars per year on players. Take a million seats back and relax. None of this **** really matters anyways till the regionals start. Then you can melt like butter if needed.

Correction: If it hadn’t been for the ump squeezing the zone on that Mizzou reliever later in game 1, they would have swept State.
