I wasn't quite sure with the options given, thanks for the clarification. It's a Yes or No question.
If he gets this team to the Elite 8, I’ll walk naked into LeXLive the day after with POPE IS GOD spray painted on both *** cheeks. It's a Yes or No question.
Might want to start winning some games.I believe we will make the tournament. We’ll have a 8 or 9 seed which would mean beating a couple of top ten teams to make an Elite 8.
I’d be pro-Pope again.
So you say personality of Pope is your issue with him? So if we were 25-2 and ranked 1st currently and signed 4 top 10 recruits for next year you’d still want Pope gone? Honest question. For me personally, it’s not about the wins and losses (obviously it is, but I have a bigger problem with Pope than his success or lack thereof), it’s his personality that I have a problem with. He doesn’t fit with Kentucky nor its fans at all. The lack of passion is genuinely making me wince. I can’t handle his personality. It’s why I hated Mitch’s obsession with Scott Drew. Who cares if he won a title, his personality just doesn’t match.
It’s why I didn’t care if Cal won more games in his last few years, I wanted him to retire, the love was clearly lost between him and the fanbase. Now we’re stuck in an even bigger loveless marriage. At least Cal and Kentucky loved each other at one point. Some of the fans might love Pope but he sure as heck hasn’t shown us much love, at the very least he isn’t capable of showing it.
If my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle.

No, of course not. But if he were winning 3 or 4 more games this year and last year, I’d still feel like something is “off” with him.So you say personality of Pope is your issue with him? what I think it is, really, is what I’ve been saying. It’s not 50/50 in favor pope anymore. It’s 70/30 - 75-25ish. He’s lost most support and people are done with it. When a vote here says make a sweet 16 and an elite 8 in his first two years you’d still fire? People are done with it and see no long term success. I still think some are missing the recruiting. Make the elite 8 okay. He still cannot recruit and it’s the lifeblood. A lucky draw or a stroke of luck in the games to hit a path to an elite 8 doesn’t change the problem. So that’s probably why. Mark is also very cringy and doesn’t really fit the mold. Just too many issues to let slide over a good draw for a season. To some.I don’t see how anyone could vote no on that at this point. It’s your right to vote how you want though lol I just don’t get it
No question. No coach is getting fired for making it to two S16s in 2 seasons. Especially when we hadn’t seen the 2nd weekend since 2019. I’m not happy at all but it would be delusional to think that’s not good enough. If he gets to the Elite 8, or I would say even the Sweet 16, he 100% has to be back. He’s back regardless anyway.
Brad? Ellen? Calipari has been an ******* since birth. No, of course not. But if he were winning 3 or 4 more games this year and last year, I’d still feel like something is “off” with him.
But how a coach acts is part of the fun of college basketball. I love the larger than life personalities. Before Cal started going after fans he was genuinely delightful to watch.
And it was fun when he was winning. Not so much later in his career.Brad? Ellen? Calipari has been an ******* since birth.
Brother they have a real shot of not even getting in. I said this in DEC and was ridiculed now sadly it’s not so crazyYea if he makes an elite eight I would welcome him back. I just don’t think it’s probable.
If he gets this team to the Elite 8, I’ll walk naked into LeXLive the day after with POPE IS GOD spray painted on both *** cheeks.
Not answering yes or no to a highly improbable hypothetical.
Seems to be designed to reinforce the unfair and "bad fan" narrative
No. It's how you phrased it as if it's the only scenario. It would fairer to ask: Do you want Pope back if he doesn't at least make the elite eight? See the difference? If we operate under the pretense that this scenario actually happens it makes you look like an unreasonable fan if you vote no, when in reality you might not just see it as a realistic scenario. I mean we aren't too far removed asking if we want Pope back if he shoots candy out of his rear, saves a puppy's life and solves world hunger. What would be a fair question in your mind? Sweet Sixteen?
