start them both and come up with some type offense to take advantage of both of them in the game at the same time. I didn't give it much thought but after thinking about it a while it might be interesting to see. As far as Relf goes at QB, his best hope is that we come out and have alot of success runningthe option which USC had trouble with against Navy, Mullen will probably have a pretty quick trigger on Relf.

I think he gets the entire first half if he starts. I've got no problem with a 2 QB system if it truly is a planned system, but yanking guys and throwing other ones in every time there's a mistake is no way to get things going. I thought Mullen handled the UAB well by letting Relf finish the first half, and I think he should do the same with Russell unless he's literally just handing USC the game.

If he doesnt have the week of practice of his career, start Russell. I think Russell gives us our best chance right now. Does anyone remenber when they picked teams for the spring game they gave Relf the good o line and Russell the freshamn. Maybe it was because Relf couldnt function with that line (which is starting for us now). Just to clear up my first statement, I believe Mullen will give Relf a quarter as a starteronly because he's a senior

have had enough time to get a feel for the defense we are up against .... after reviewing all of the games we have played so far I am convinced we have the CAPABILITY to compete and win against SC .... question is will we bring that mindset to the game with us

Im sure its been discussed, but why not just have him in certain packages in third and short?
Im not sure Relf would love that, but that is what he is good at, or at least what he used to be good at. He simply isn't running the same way he did last year on 3rd down. If Relf isn't going to run with authority, Im not sure what he gives you at QB, which is bizaree considering how hard he has run the last year and a half.
Its going to be interesting to see Mullen's offense with a less mobile QB. I don't think Russell is Matt Wyatt, but he certainly is a step slower than Relf. Also, with Russell it seems like once things start going bad, they keep going down, whether it is sacks or picks.
Im interested to see how Russell does, and more importantly im interested to see Mullen run an offense when your QB isn't very mobile or the type that can get the tough yards. If it was me, I would do everything I could to get the ball to Ballard on screens, swing passes and anything to get that little guy in space, because he is the real deal.

and the coach finally told us to just tackle everyone. We won the game barely against a pretty inferior team but that offense will give you fits if it is run well. Please hold all the age jokes.
