I'll hope he can pull Hafley and Angelichio away from the brownies, before they all get canned in the next year or two any way. My emphasis would be recruiter first, maybe he could tap a few of his buddies and create a staff with NFL experience that would attract some top talent.

First...........................................................................................................
Greg will hold us up, then hold us up more, and then yet some more, for more $
THEN, pray tell B1G level coordinators will work with him. What's the big deal if he can't get a quality staff (because guys won't work with him?)

MCDaniels stays OC - D coordinator will be de facto Schiano so it does not matter

Brian Leonard for something. Maybe even Ray Rice.

Rob Smith quit? Could it be he is the person already signed up for Rutgers. Too coincidental...no!

Can we get Terry Shea to coach QBs? But seriously, I'd like to see Teel on the staff. I doubt Hafs would come back, but I haven't heard anything from his camp in a while, so I don't know.

What ever it takes - Schiano must hire somebody to communicate plays in a way that is swift, and efficient - The QB simply cannot stand there staring at the sidelines with a look of total bewilderment & just kill the momuntum of the offense

Hafley, somewhere.
A good QB coach.
A good OC who brings an offense that won't just be an extension of the defense.
Doesn't really matter at DC, as I'd assume Schiano would be HC/DC at least for the first couple years to get the ship righted.

Keep Schiano away from Rutgers. He's an average to below average coach and Rutgers has direct experience.

College football's KING of Soft and Easy OOC schedules
28-48 in the Big East
12 years on Rutgers payroll
68-67 overall record
ZERO BCS games
ZERO conference championships
His 'defense' gave up 69 points to Cincinnati in 2010

Fired after two seasons at TB for being a below average coach there.

Let Schiano coach at a program that matches his ability... Monmouth College, Widener University, etc.

Why so harsh on schiano, he isn't an FCS coach, timing, university needs and his skill set is a good fit at this time

Not advocating for Schiano, but it's hard to hang the 2010 Cincy game on his defense. The team wasn't exactly focused after the Army game, which led to an 0-6 finish and a lot of blowouts. It was an anomalous year because of the LeGrand injury.

I don't think Hafley leaves the pros so Chris Partridge as DB coach will essentially be the new Hafley. Makes sense since Greg can oversee the DB's and utilize CP's recruiting on the road.

Curious if anyone watched McDaniels offense this year? Or Smith's defense in Arkansas?

Why would we want to bring them back here? Maybe McDaniels could be WR coach as he's young and could continue to learn over a quality OC.
