All return next season, who do yall think will be ranked number one? I think I would go with USC until they blow their annual game to some PAC 10 school they have no business losing to.

I would have to put Florida at #1. Then I would redo the BCS so that USC plays the SEC Champ regardless.

Ya gotta put Florida at #1...defending NC, lots of talent returning...they're king of the hill til someone knocks them off.

The second half of this season, OM was as good as or better than any of those. Snead finished the season as well as any of those QBs too. OM is already an early Top 5 pick for next year by ESPN and Sports Illustrated. Glad you think so too!

Yep, if Tebow and Harvin return, UF will be pretty close to a unanimous No. 1 pre-season.

Ole Miss will start out high but I doubt they maintain that for long. Losing Oher and some of those others will hurt more than you think. Also the underdog factor will be gone. Teams won't be overlooking Ole Miss. I do think Ole Miss will have a season similar to this past one but not a top 10 type season next year. Who does Ole Miss play from the East next season?

Notre Dame is in South Bend, but that shouldn't be a big problem. We'll be playing most of the season from the number 6 or 7 slot.

will hammer them in Columbus aGAIN. I think USC needs to start worrying more about Oregon State since it seems like the Beavers beat them every year. I know that's not the case, but it just seems that way.

If Spikes returns, they return either everybody or almost every player on their two-deep on defense, an excellent defense at that.

USC has a chance to lose every single defensive starter if Mays and another guy (can't remember who) declare.

with Oregon State, Washington, and Washington State, those teams are full of athletes who USC never even bothered to recruit. As a result, they come with a huge %##@#%+ chip on their shoulders. We do very well out of conference, but stumble on the pipsqueaks in our own conference.

1. Gaytors-They have a crazy, insane group of talented underclassmen
2. Texass-in hind sight, the Texas Tech loss was a bad one, after OM exposed them.
3. USC-usc will benefit from a conference that is getting better.
4. Oklahoma-will be a good squad, but they are the new Ohio State. they will not get the benefit of the doubt for a decade

they all hate your guts. Anytime I talk college football with someone from the West, they always say "God, I hate USC". You're always circled on the calendar.

Mullen knows everything about that offense, including its weaknesses and what works against it defensively.

But, on the flip side, so does Charlie Strong, and he'll be operating against it as well.

Should be an interesting matchup...

Look at the Alabama hate in the SEC and the cyclical LSU or Florida hate. Michgan/OSU hate in the Big10 and Tex/OK in B12.

Nobody hated us in the 1990's when we sucked.

I hated LSU in the 90's when they sucked.

I think USC's case, it's the success AND the money based on my perspective.

and the NCAA doesn't even investigate. MSU, give a recruit 20 bucks for subway and you get the hammer.

McCoy has already said he is definitely coming back for Texas. They should be loaded next season and much better on defense.

Ole Miss drops Florida and picks up Tennessee. South Carolina in Columbia and Vandy in Nashville are the other two.
We lose Oher and Jerry, but every great team in the US loses some great players every year. So why does losing those two make us any different from Florida losing Percy Harvin or Bama losing Andre Smith?

Ole Miss played a lot of players this year.... rotated ten on the DL .... rotated eight wide receivers, etc. Greg Hardy did not start in a single game and only played in about a quarter of the snaps or less.
We have one of the nation's top 2 or 3 QBs returning along with 35 out of our top 44 players in the two deep. Only five starters in the Cotton Bowl leave.
Don't forget that according to Rosebowl and Gene, MSU has out-recruited Ole Miss three out of the past four years (go back and check their columns each year) and is about to do it again.
So the Bulldogs should be pretty stout this year too.
