I hope Rhule says, "The Iowa game crystallized it for me."

If this staff would backwards plan and begin with the end in mind, they would recruit and coach simply to beat Iowa. In doing this, NU would be competitive across the B1G

Its unpopular, because detractors will say that Iowa is mediocre. Yet whatever goals we have recruited toward in the last 10 years have made us less than mediocre in these program crossroads games that we've continued to fall short in.

You reverse engineer downed drone technology, you reverse engineer things you don't understand.
In football, you have to know ahead of time what your goal is physically, mentally, coaching abilities, schedule wise. If you don't know where you're going, you'll wind up someplace else.
