If this cancer rumor is true, then that may

explain why Croom is sticking with him. In all honesty, if you had an employee who was diagnosed with cancer, you would do everything you could to support him and not throw him to the curb. I've been blasting the two of them since Saturday, but if this is true, that dramatically changes things. We may not like the Croom as a coach, but if this was found out before the season, you would have to expect Croom to stick with him if the dude is dying. No brainer. I definitely hope it's false, because, like it or not, McCorvey is still one of OUR coaches and I would hope we would all support him as he has supported us, even with a bad offensive scheme.

that's where Croom should make him retire, for his own health. Tell him he'll have an admin spot so he has the medical insurance, but as a friend simply say I can't watch you go thru this with the demands of the season.

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. I think Croom knows poor Woody will take and does take alot of the heat that should be directed at his fat butt. If/when Woody's gone, than it would be obvious to everyone Croom is the complete moron we all thought he was.

Some friend....

No, if you have an employee that is diagnosed with cancer, you should let them go seek treatment and not expect them to continue to work.

Somebody who is dying should not be forced to work. A good friend would support him and tell him to go home and enjoy his family and go find the best treatment. Croom just wants to hold on to him so that he won't be exposed as the complete incompetent that he is.

....reason why McCorvey shouldn't be doing this job. In this case, he would need to be focused on fighting for his life. I'd have no problem if the school pays for his medical bills either. I'd certainly pray for Woody and hope he wins his fight. Still, I think you have to separate your concerns for him as a man from the business of football. He and Croom aren't getting the job done on the offensive side of the ball. It isn't one game. It isn't one season. It's FIVE seasons. We're beyond the point of making a change. It should have already been made a year or two ago.
