They scored 41 on a pretty good Colorado defense. They can throw the football, and that is about the only way anyone can score on the Tide !

If PSU blows out Wisky and Clemson loses, there will be an interesting discussion. If Clemson wins, it will be the first week without suspense.

Colorado was the weakest team in any P5 championship game, not only this year, but in many a year that I can recall. Wow, the PAC 12 South must have really been down for them to go from 1-8 to 8-1. Washington has a good team, but I think there is no way they can beat Bama.

We know no one is going to run on Bama and I agree the only way any team can give Bama a game is throwing the ball but Browning did not impress me that much. It may have just he had a bad night but he had a lot of underthrows and I just don't see him passing the pass well against Bama's D and it's speed.

With Washington's win, and a Clemson (and Alabama) win today, how will the rankings look? Does Ohio St. move down to #4 because of not playing in a championship game? Not a prediction, but it wouldn't be surprising to me to see this ranking:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Washington
4. Ohio St.

Alabama hasn't given up a TD since Oct 22.

How much does "brand name" factor into this? Penn State could win the Big 10 today, has a win over Ohio State, yet probably won't get in CFP. Imagine if the situation was reversed, and it was Ohio State with the Big 10 Championship and a win over Penn State. I'd bet the committee would take Ohio State in that case too!

Though I agree OSU should be at 4 and have Conference Champs above them I feel that the Committee would not want to take a chance of having a Clemson Bama Championship rematch. I think most feel the 2 best teams are Bama and OSU and the committee would want them to match up in the Championship game.

That would be absurd. You would be making the best two teams in the nation play each other in the semi-finals. That would be punishing Alabama

For the record I think Alabama would beat Ohio State in that semifinal game but then they would have to play Ohio State and then Clemson win the title which is much more difficult then beating Washington and then the winner of Ohio State vs Clemson

What I would like to see is OSU and Mich. at 2-3 for a rematch and the winner gets Bama. I know that option not out there that just my personal wish list. I think a OSU-Mich. rematch with a fully healthy Mich. QB would be a TV rating bonanza.

How can Clemson and Ohio state get in over pitt. I mean they did beat them both. (Joking of course but a one loss Ohio state should get in over a two lose penn state).

Kentucky could and would beat Washington and Colorado. Neither would stop our dual running game and deep post throws. Colorado was absolute garbage in that game. Washington qb was shite. They both look like wins to me. Alabama will beat Washington 44-0. Theyd beat colorado 62-0.

I do not believe the committee sticks Alabama with OSU in game 1.

Alabama deserves Washington and OSU and Clemson should have to Duke it out for the right to play Alabama.

Or they beat Michigan, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma. 3 top 10 teams.

One of which they beat directly thanks to an iffy call, just like Duke. Oklahoma is/was way overrated.

They deserve to be there this year, but that wasn't the point. The point was, in general, they get the most favorable vote of anyone; just like Duke. And it's true.

They also deserved to be in 2 years ago when they beat Alabama in a classic and crushed my boy Mariota's Oregon team in the title game. They were one of the best 4 teams last year and were left out so I just don't buy the bias, at least not in the playoff era IMO.

Wow. Just unbelievably biased viewpoint. Respect your right to an opinion but couldn't disagree more. Love the Cats but no way they beat UW this year and, on neutral field, CU is at least a TD favorite. The same team that got scorched by TN would beat BOTH UW and CU? Nope. If we played our best, we could beat either team. But, just roll our helmets out there and beat a team that went 12-1 in a P5 conference? Don't think so.

Bama will beat UW but I doubt it'll be 44-0. Too many people on this board think only the SEC plays good football. It's laughable, actually. You all realize that, after the Gators take a beating, that every team in the SEC has at least 4 losses this year, right? You cannot make a reasonable argument that the SEC is really good this year. Bama is significantly better than the rest of the conference and the rest range from mediocre to above average.

44-0. Bank on it.
Benny and Boom would destroy both Washington and Colorado. I watched that game last night. PAC 10 is weak as hell imo. Kentucky would put points on them boys.

Folks, Chris Petersen is a top 5 coach in the country.

I would not count the Huskies out of at least giving Bama a dog fight.

Petersen has beaten some talented squads and staffs in big bowl games.

I find is funny to read posts from SEC wonks about how bad the Pac12 is this year given how putrid the SEC was this year.

lol at thinking UK could beat Washington, Colorado perhaps but only if they played like last night maybe - they hadn't in their previous 12 games

Pitt didn't beat OSU, that was Penn State to the poster above who said that. they did, however, beat Clemson on a FG at the gun by a guy named "Blewitt" lol.

OSU absolutely deserves a top four ranking. three top 10 wins as mentioned earlier, and the eyeball test says they clearly are better than any team in America but Alabama. and maybe not CLEARLY better than Michigan but most of their metrics are better, and they did beat them head to head, though UM led most of the game and it was in Cbus. those two are clearly 2a and 2b behind Bama imo

I think UK would beat Colorado too. Udub is another story.
