LSU did nothing different than we did on offense as far as attempting to run a set play... Neither did Florida or Ole Miss the last time I watched them...

basketball just isn't what it used to be, especially in the SEC.

for a few days. I'm not going to go back and look, but I 'm betting Thursday night and Friday were glorious for you.

Throw in today's average effort and you're set.

Stans offenses are turrible without a true post guy. The last 2 years are the first in a while without a guy that can hammer it down low.

then I guess you could call that running set plays for Mitchell. What I saw was LSU get the ball to Mitchell and then the rest of the team stand around and watch. Bo Spencer got hot for a stretch in the 2nd half and he carried them for 2-3 minutes. That is all that they did offensively. It is rediculous to say that the ran some complex offense.

Look guys, a successful offense just boils down to making shots. It is that simple. We have struggled mightily in the last 3 games to make shots, we have had open looks and they have just not dropped. Stansbury is never going to write a book on the X and O's of basketball, I think we can all agree to that. But the way that Stansbury has made himself successful is getting teams to defend and rebound and then finding a way to get it done on the offensive end. I was encouraged by the effort in the 2nd half, there is alot of basketball left to be played and this mini slump we are going thru will end as well. Don't pack it upyet.

they ran the same number of set plays we did... about 1/10th of the time... the rest of the time it was 1-on-1 and top of the key ball screens like we do... I watched it specifically to keep up with that since Trent Johnson is your hero.

I totally agree with this, and watch specifically for this also. They didn't run any more set plays than we did. And even when they did, it didn't result in open shots. You don't have to have great players to run an offense, set good screens, and get good shots.

Than we have in other games. If we don't shoot the three we are average. I didn't see LSU do much more than clear out and let Tasmin go one on one. They did free him up a couple of times with screens but we did the same thing for Barry and Ravern. The biggest problem I see in our team now is some of our players don't look confident shooting the three. Shooters have to keep shooting and as long as they aren't forced shots, eventually they will start dropping. I have more concern about how eratic we are at the line, because that has cost us two or more games this year. Kodi can shoot free throws but he doesn't get to the line enough and if he ever learns to handle the ball and get to the rim, he will be a tough matchup for anybody.
