I wont be too terribly upset if we only win 3 games this year. Does anyone else agree? I think its clear that the defensive talent is not great, and the defensive scheme of Carl Torbush may not be around next year if things continue like they did Saturday. But we have a good young base on the defensive line, and a good piece in KJ at LB and Mitchell at safety. I envision either Michael Carr or Jameon Lewis competing at CB next year with the speed and athleticism they have. Next year, a guy like Washington will be gone, and hopefully Zach Smith will been replaced. We will also hopefully have Skinner playing LB that is quicker around the edge. The offense is obviously working better than last year because good offensive recruits typically make a bigger impact quicker. Mullen has put his stamp on the offense and special teams. All thats left is to get the secondary players we need on defense and an offensive line and we will be ok. It may take 2 years to get to a bowl game but the have great pieces from this last class in place to build on.
