Lot's of assumptions here but we all think we win the next two. Lets say we do. We're 4-2. IF we then go on to beat Florida we have a real shot at being 7-2 going into Bama, Arkansas, Ole Miss. That would be insane!

Just be happy with the fact that we will, God willing, be 4-2 in 2 weeks going into that game. Florida has way too much talent for us to compete with them. Only reason Ole Miss clipped them a few years ago was because they had some good talent that finally came together.

we have Alcorn and Houston (who is down to their 3rd string QB)... I thought about that scenerio for a brief second and then shaved... Florida, in the swamp... enough said.

we held Georgia to half the points that Arkansas did. That means we can hold Bama to that many as well right?

Easy win for State in Tuscaloosa this year.

Maybe you can convince Stricklin to just go ahead and forfeit. It's not like there have been any upsets this year, so we might as well just say 17 it.

Can we just worry about beating Alcorn and then the next week worry about beating Houston?

No?

You think it's better to worry about where we will sit to watch the Rose Parade before seeing the Dawgs play in the Rose Bowlthat afternoon? Anyone buying tickets today forthe bleachers at the big right hand turn on Rose Bowl drive in Pasadena where MSU's band will stop and play some homer tune for the Home and Garden Network cameras? Sure hope they bring bully's dawg house to be pulled by the Budweiser Clydesdale hitch in the parade. Actually I just hope theTV announcers don't call us Ole Miss twenty times during the Rose Parade.

I'm not getting the Clydesdale before the Dawg, am I?

Houston ain't Memphis........meaning it ain't a for sure win. I don't care if they are down to their 3rd string QB. Since 1966, Houston has owned our ***. Not the Oilers. Not the Texans. The 17n Cougars!

I knew a post like this would come up. We are fans. We can worry about whatever we wantas long as we're having fun. Let the players focus on the next game or whatever the coach tells them to focus on. Why does it matter what we're talking about on a message board.

of the last 10 football seasons and MSU has only been 4-2 after the first six games TWO times.2000 and we ended by beating TxA&M in theIndy Bowl and Croom's 8-5 "season" that ended with a win in the Liberty Bowl.

Not much to show for a decade of football BUT this season looks better every day.

We will be a great bet to cover the spread with Florida coming off of Alabama and LSU. We just don't want them to lose to LSU. If they lose to Bama and LSU, they will be out for blood. If they lose to Bama and beat LSU, then we may get them thinking a little too much about beating Georgia the following week. Either way, they should be a little bloodied after two straight huge SEC games and hopefully we can stick it to them.

they beat us last year at home and now we have to go to their place. I don't care if they are down to their 3rd string quarterback or not - we have never had any good fortune playing those guys, for whatever reason. I will be extremely happy to go to Houston and pull out a 1-point victory...no if, ands or buts. Some of y'all are getting way too ahead of yourselves here. We will not beat Florida at Florida. Period. If we're 4-3 after that game, we are still on track to have a pretty good season.

I'm not saying I expect y'all to win, but it damn sure isn't out of the realm of possibilities. Florida has a nice recent history of losing to the Mississippi schools.
