Things don't look so good for us Saturday as we go from the 10:00 game to the 3:30 game. That's not much time to rest.

8/9 matchup while almost assuredly making the field... and I'd be perfectly fine with that.

because I personally believe this particular MSU team is not capable of winning the whole tournament. I say that because I don't believe this poorly conditioned team can win 4 games in 4 days when the last game is almost assuredly going to come against one of the best KY teams ever that will only be on their 3rd game. So with all that as the backdrop let's beat GA and then bow out to keep our 11 to 12 seed status. If we win another game or two after that we may screw around and put ourselves in the dreaded 8/9 game. So bottom line, let's either win the whole dang thing or lose after the first round.

I'd rather not have to play 120 minutes in 48 hours less than a week before the NCAA tournament.

Hell, play to win Friday, then rest Moultrie ("Moultrie knees..." but I think some of it is legitimate) and Hood (knee bruise) Saturday and make sure their legs are fresh. We can play to win the game, but don't go into the game pulling out all the stops to win... save some for the Dance. There's no shame in losing to a surging Tennessee (there may be shame in losing to Auburn or OM... but I doubt they win 2) in the semifinal of the SECT, especially if a win over Vandy pretty much assures us a spot in the field of 68. Moultrie and Hood are our two biggest game-changers and like most everyone here agrees on, March is all that matters. No way in hell that would happen, most teams don't do that, but at least it's an intentional move to not burn ourselves out. It would also give us some closure to the season so we can move on and play even harder next week.
