I never thought I'd see such an implosion after finishing 8-4. I will admit one thing, it sucks losing to Mississippi.

I say no, give me 8-4. What would 7-5 look like? A win against UM and say a loss to Arkansas and Auburn? That would be worse. We would all be saying stuff about how we can't beat anyone other than UM and how we can't take the next step. I know Arkansas and Auburn were not playing at the level they typically do, but I'm happy to get over our losing streak to both of them. 8-4 is better than 7-5 all day long regardless of who you win/lose to.

With this team and this schedule we should have been 9-3 and beaten UM. The "implosion" is coming from the people who rightfully wanted us to play hard and do the best we could.

Correct. Playing soft and rolling over will create and implosion every time.

I saw nothing from this season that tells me we should have beaten UM. I've watched them play 3-4 times this year and every time I realized that they are actually pretty good and our game would be a toss up. I wanted to win, and of course I like to think we are better than them, but in reality that game wasn't a game we should have won. The games we should have won are the games we did win.
