If we have Diego as QB

We're certainly 6-1 and likely headed to 9-3 or 8-4 season. Probably the same with either OM QB.

Now there's also an augment to be made with even with Shapen, we would be 6-1 if running plays were called in a few key situations.

We've had three tossup games and could easily be 3-0 or 0-3 in those games. As it is, we're 1-2.

Shapen could have been much better, but that could be said of a lot of players and definitely of a head coach.

Fact is we were TD underdogs in all the games and played above that level. I'm not happy losing, but we are better and better than the vast majority expected.

I'm very concerned that everyone in the stadium at both losses knows what plays should have been called, except for our HC. With any of the afore mentioned QBs, those games wouldn't have come down to a few plays.

No we’re not. Lebby’s offensive scheme wouldn’t highlight his skill set. We might even be worse. With that said, if we had Diego AND his OC Tim Beck, then yes we’d be 6-1.

It’s hard to win in today’s college football without a mobile QB. Ask us, ask LSU.
but you don't see a winning problem with teams that have 70% completion ...the rebz (63%) and OU (65%) being the outliers, and they've had soft schedules until now right? Pavia's one of four qb's in the sec's 70%+ comp. club. Shapen's 67% believe it or not.

It may be true now that we know Diego can play, but can yall imagine how much pissing and moaning would have happened a couple of years ago if our plan at QB out of the portal was a sub 6 foot tall transfer from New Mexico State?

Or heck, pretend it’s Trinidad Chambliss, imagine our plan to start at QB was this guy from a D2 school. Y’all would’ve thought Lebby was out of his mind.

Just pointing out that hindsight is real easy with some of these guys.

In Lebby’s offense here at State, Diego and Chambliss would fair worse than Shapen.

Agree on Diego. Trinidad plays in an offense that’s not insanely different from ours.
When is the last time Kiffin has EVER had bad play at the quarterback position? He coaches to his quarterback’s skill set. Just like Mullen. This is the difference and this is why both Diego and Chambliss would fair worse than Shapen in Lebby’s offense. Moreover, Shapen would succeed in Lane Kiffin’s offense at Ole Miss.

I mean Kiffin > Lebby is not exactly a hot take.
