in the other 2 big sports, would a change have already been made? This is what I keep asking myself. And the answer I keep coming up with, is YES. Why is there a double standard for our ****** football program?

But Crxxms is getting a longer leash. 4 losing seasons usually gets a coach fired. Hell, I'll even factor in the fact that we historically give ****** coaches a longer leash than almost every other school. But even at dear ol' MState, 4 losing seasons in 5 usually gets you fired. Why is it different for Crxxms? It may not be, and that is my hope. But he's getting more of a pass than just abou any coach I've ever seen.
if our basketball team had gone 3 years in a row with records like, 7-22, 9-20, 8-24 then a new coach takes over with the same ****** players, has to run a few of the good ones off cause they are dumb, then goes similar records for 3 years. In the 4th year, he makes the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament. Would you fire him after the 5th year for being bad again?

If our basketball coach was 7-22, 7-22 & 7-22 in his first 3 seasons (after dealing with defections and a 'depleted' program) and made the 2nd round in his fourth season, but in season 5 was on his way to another 7-22 season, his *** should definitely be gone. No question.

Some people are looking to play the race card no matter what is said. Crxxms sucking as a coach has nothing to do with him being black. Rockey sucked as a HC, little Shula, sucked as a HC, Art Shell sucked as a HC. If you suck as a HC, Dubose sucked as a HC, you suck as a HC. The difference is how quickly you get fired for sucking as a HC. Rockey, little Shula, and Dubose all got axed fairly quickly for sucking as a HC. The Raiders axed Shell, re-hired him, then axed him aGAIN. LT hired Crxxms for one reason: Slive told him to and to mitigate NCAA sanctions for our "violations." Now we can't get rid of him. OM had the same problem with Barnes. What's the harm in saying it? I don't agree with it, but it is what it is.
Took it the wrong way. I agree, obviously. It's wrong, but it is what it is. Hopefully GB will change that attitude inside the Bryan Building.

And for the record I think his race played the major role in his getting the job but I don`t think race will be as big a factor as money in getting rid of his sorry ***.

football comparisons. And I think the notion that he hasn't been fired because he is black is ********. What isn't ******** is that we seem to tolerate failure in football more than that we tolerate failure in basketball and baseball.

I also heard that he came highly recommended, and he was after all under consideration for the Bama job before then.

On the other hand, as the events of yesterday may or may not have exemplified, our society should be beyond that consideration. Expectations, performance and results, should be the criterion of choice.
We broke the ice, broke through an SEC glass ceiling with his hire, just as in my day when our basketball team chose to defy state law and participate in the NCAA tournament. We made history then, just like yesterday, and that didn't result in a victory for us in the tourney...but it should have relieved our sports program of the "racist" term.
True equality means we are judged on results, not on what we look like.

And it still doesn't register now to a lot of blind fools that think all he needs is a couple more years. Just gotta have about 5 pick sixes a year and his strategy works fine.
