Would you like to see another qb in? I know i wood
When he went in last night I immediately asked why. It was obvious that he was going to run the ball only. That’s not helpful. If he can do more than that, sure, or if you use his with some kind of optionality maybe. However, I suspect our coaching staff is in a much better position to decide this that we are.

I felt like Lebby was putting Kamario in there on QB runs to set him up for a big play throwing downfield and the opportunity never came. Tennessee did a good job putting pressure on us and keeping Shapen on his back, but I don't know how Kamario or Kromenhoek would have handled the same pressure. I imagine they would have picked up yards fleeing the pocked and possibly taken more sacks due to lack of experience. We scored plenty, but TN has a dang good team. You have to score more than plenty to beat them.

I didn’t have a problem brining Kamario in. Hopefully they are setting future plays up like a jump pass in key situations.

Yeah, there were a lot of people wondering why Lewis wasn't starting at LT to begin the season, and I think the reason is now pretty clear after watching him last night.

Like I said last night, Shapen has limitations. However, I'm also pretty certain that he's the best option that we've got, and Lebby would be playing KT more if he thought he was ready

I think him getting reps is fine in the right situation. On that call everyone knew he was going to try to run the ball. He did. They stuffed it. Give him some optionality to help him.

It’s like a couple years ago when everyone was clamoring for Mike Wright to play. Then Rogers got hurt and they got their wish. And Wright was 17ing terrible. Literally one of the worst quarterbacks to ever start for us.

Kamario is the future but it’s too early, IMO.

This may take care of itself unfortunately. A few more hits like yesterday and Shapen will be unavailable.

Him being sacked and hit is not his fault. Line needs to block and the WR need to get open. In my opinion the way they were getting to Shapen Lebby should have run even more. They could not stop Fluff. We were never more than one score behind and with him getting 8 yards a carry they should have pounded the ball and pass every once in a while.

We have ran that same style of play a lot with Chris self, dak, fitz. We got 2 yards.
You out number them with blockers.

keep doing it occasionally. Yes mix in a little but eventually that is going to give us 2 big plays.

1 kamario will break one.
2 fake and jump pass.

we kicked a field goal. It was a conservative call with a true freshman. Low risk potentially high reward.

what we need to do with the backup Qb's at this point is to keep them happy, because one of them will be a starter at State next season or somewhere else. Neither are the starter this year here for a reason and I'd be willing to bet each know this. If either is not picking up the system and they don't think they will be the starter next year one or both will transfer. Just how it is.

When we ran off tackle we gained a lot of yards. Up the gut not so much.

We're 4-1 and came really close to beating another top 15 team. Not feeling the "time to change quarterback" vibe.
