Might as well stay and form actual Big 12
...

TCU
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Iowa State
Kansas State
WVU
Cincinnati
UCF
Memphis
Texas Tech
Kansas
Houston

Only thing missing is a marquee team and more eastern teams for WVU.

Merging with PAC is a bad move for WVU and would not surprise me if they are not included.

Joining current AAC is sickening.

So we just make our own conference of nobodies.

I actually agree with your reconstructed Big 12 scenario. Why however would you say "nobodies"? The thought of WVU not being considered a primo program has you really upset doesn't it? Would your life change if that happened? Way too much emotional attachment to a children's game contolled by a bunch of left wing leaning billionaires and media companies.

Need UCF
If this goes down this way UCF would be perfect
UCF about to play Florida

Even WVU fits because they want to expose the SEC schools as well

Not to correct your thread title but always remember the Athletic Dept’s goal is to not make $$$$$$$ but to increase & maximize incoming $$$$$$$$ revenue. They always want to max the $$$$$$$$ revenue coming in and spend it as best they can so they break even or lose a little to a lot of $$$$$$ so as to justify raising ticket prices and “donations” to buy the tickets. This is why 0.500 coaches get multimillion dollar guaranteed contracts and even coordinators and ADs get million dollar deals guaranteed over multiple years. It’s the best business model in team sports, except for the Green Bay Packers, which sells phony ownership certs for a franchise the city owns.

Instead of UCF, get SMU. This way we still keep Florida all to ourselves.
If the remaining 8 stay together and decide to add g5 teams it would be best to increase the geographic foot print of the conference. Its probably the biggest reason the big 12 has floundered over the years. The Big 12 needs new markets they don't need more teams from Texas. All the other conferences have been able to create regional rivalries to some degree. All the Big12/swc/Big 8 ever did was create state rivalries.

Haven't you heard? It isn't about markets anymore.

Big 12 is dead. This is probably the final season.
