If which doesn't happen, is Croom most likely still here?

Crooms probably wins 2 more games with a good FG kicker (plus he could've punted for McShank). And we might have had a few touchbacks.

His teams lack of anything positive against their rival is what did it. However, I gave up after the Tennessee game.

Completely agree La Tech was it. Think about it a win over La Tech and Croom would be 5-7 (assuming the remainder of the season panned out the same). A loss to Ole Miss by 35 would still not be enough to force him out, but 45 is a maybe.

Of course, I still think that a win over La Tech would have been enough to give us that much more drive to win over Auburn and be bowl bound, but enough with the what ifs thats what the whole season was.

No doubt that the Egg Bowl broke the camels back. If we win the egg bowl or stay within 10 I imagine he would have been back.

the Louisiana Tech loss. I think that for one changed the whole tide of the season.

that out. Maybe we will have a runoff between La tech and the winner of this poll.

Emotions run high following an Egg Bowl loss. Then to flippantly say "I don't know what happened" was the last straw. That MFer should have been begging for forgiveness and another chance. However, he just throws his hands up. What an idiot.

Not going for it on 4th and 1 and allowing La Tech to sit on the ball and run the clock out was the death blow.

Croom was gone long before the Egg Bowl. If he had beaten them 45-0 I think there may have been some reconsideration.

State shoulda, woulda, coulda beat both Auburn and Kentucky at home.

These 2 wins make you 6-6 and 4-4 in SEC; and puts you in the Indy Bowl.

(or win one plus La Tech)

Croom stays on with 2 consecutive Bowl seasons.

IMHO

You have to wonder if the "don't know what happened" comment was an intentional effort to commit a forced resignation? I was listening to the LSU pre-game on XM. The LSU reporter asked CC a question - I do not remember the question asked, but he gave an answer that was like a politician: it was an answer but not an answer to the question posed. The answer was something like "this program, should I not be the coach in the future, is in much better shape than it was when I got here." I turned to my wife and said, "he's going to resign at the end of the season." That was at the end of September following a 38 to 7 loss to GT to give us a 1 and 3 record.

The OC position under Croom is a puppet.

I voted for QB.

Almost voted kicker - and could retract my vote if you're saying Richards would both place kick and punt. McShank lost us a good share of games too.
