Many years ago we had two ******** just like these two, whom we caught cheating in one of our local bass tournaments. Simply put, they were "escorted" to their truck by several of the more angry anglers, who made no attempt to hide the fact they were carrying sidearms, and were told in no uncertain terms they were to never show their faces around here ever again.

I Have to give props to the Director or judge or whatever he does for telling the crowd to not touch the guy and then tell the guy to leave. He may have saved that dude’s life.

I e got bad news wildcat friend, every fball and basketball team in college has people cheating, even our beloved Wildcats.
Boy that looked like it was going to get ugly quick. Reminded me of when Ed Norton and Matt Damon got caught cheating in poker at the police officers game in rounders.
Yeah for sure thought they were going to rough him up. Read or heard the guy that told everyone to let them leave was a police officer or something, without him there that guy is catching some hands probably.

You may be being facetious but they’ve won that over years not one tournament from what I read. Not many fishing tournies if any pay 300,000 that I can imagine.
Cheating like that is unforgivable. Those guys deserve to have their asses whipped. Hopefully they get a lot of time for it.
Damon was doing fine by himself. Norton f'd it up for both of them.
Do you think they can get time? I honestly wouldn’t think so but I have no idea really. I am very surprised they didn’t get their asses kicked though.
They weighed almost twice what the tourney director expected them to weigh. He felt the fish and could feel the hard balls inside them. Idiots yes cheats yes. Jail time. No.
Someone earlier mentioned the winners purse was $45K so to me taking that money by fraud is jail worthy. Now if it was for a trophy and no money was on the line then I would agree with you but who knows how much of the $300K these 2 guys have won came from cheating.
I used to fish tournaments a lot and know of a guy and his dad who were caught cheating. They were banned from fishing those tournaments for several years and when they finally let them start fishing again they got caught cheating once again. In their case they would practice fish the week before, catch fish and put them in metal baskets and place them back in the lake, then go back on tournament day and retrieve the baskets from the water and get the fish which they would weigh in. Needless to say after it happened the 2nd time it was a situation similar to this one where some guys wanted to teach them a lesson.

Yes they can get time, and they deserve it.
Since they didn’t actually get the money I’m not sure it’s criminal.
