Beshear arbitrarily shut down sectors of the economy and has KY at the worst unemployment rates in the nation. Challenging the Constitutionality of his actions is not acting like a petulant child.

Hell, Beshear also had a point with some of his challenges.

I understand the politics, but if people are anointing someone the next Governor of KY at this point I’d prefer he not just act like McConnells apprentice and idly site by while the current governor drives the state further into the ground.

Don't think Cameron is shooting for Frankfort.

-Has Beshear been running those radio ads the whole time or are they new?

That’s easy to say, but it costs money to open back up at the risk of losing your ability to do business, then having to pay to defend yourself.

People talk about Cameron like he’s the second coming, but where the hell is he in all this? He was only involved in lawsuits so far when he was sued. As incompetent as Beshear is at being governor, he was pretty damn good at being a pain in Bevin’s ***.
I understand that, my point was by sheer volume, there's no way any of those would result in court proceedings. Maybe one or two initially, but they know the way the winds are blowing. A united full scale reopening movement would force their hand to just give in. JMO.

No kids so I have no dog in this hunt. But a coworker of mine said the guidelines for his sons little league team is that only one parent is allowed at the games and only 2 kids are allowed in the dugout. Please tell me that isn't true.

Anything is possible at this point, especially with kids....extreme (and ridiculous) precautions.

Guidance hasn't been sent out yet. He only does that 4-5 days before things open to force them to stay closed longer.

Speaking of which, when restaurants open today (at 33% capacity) what do the people that show up for a table do while they wait? Used to be a huge gathering at the door, but that obviously won’t be allowed. Need reservations for Waffle House now? FOH.

My rec league emailed - we have 13 tee ball teams and 6 coaches. I may try to help out, but that sounds awful - 1 coach, 10 tee ballers, social distancing and potentially multiple Karen’s in the stands (although, if their kids are still in for tee ball this year, they may not be Karen’s, right?)

****.

My brother has run a park for years. Scheduling will be a nightmare reducing teams by 2-3 kids per...could potentially add 2-3 teams in a 12 team full league...shew

“No touch” means no physical contact between youth athletes is permitted. All individuals must avoid physical contact with others including high fives, huddles, or other close contact occurring before, during, or after activities unless the contact is for the purpose of safety. Scrimmages and games are not permitted. “Low touch” means only minimal, necessary contact between youth athletes is permitted

WTF?!

Did you know Andy had a "travel ban" in place? News just said it's finally lifted! Thank you Andy for giving us our freedoms back that we didn't even know you took. GFYS!

You remember there was a flood of people fleeing NY and NJ area that was using the campgrounds or renting homes.
Family in Florida said they was grabbing up rentals in their 55+ snowbird community till management put a stop to it.

"ban anyone with a positive or presumptive positive case of COVID-19 from entering Kentucky, except as ordered for medical treatment. ... Those traveling from out of state into Kentucky and staying are being asked to self-quarantine for 14 days."

Same type of ban by Florida, other states and by Presidential order on international travel.

Throughout the past ten weeks, you could go into a Home Depot, a Lowe’s, a Kroger, a gas station, a convenience store, a liquor store, etc... and it was an absolute free for all. No, or few, masks. No social distancing. Old goats with emphysema coughing all over the counter as they filled out their lotto tickets. Lines 30 people deep at the Lowe’s checkout. And this was apparently all okay, at least according to the administration, because none of this was ever addressed. It was business as usual.

Now, we have these extensive, impractical, and frankly draconian regulations coming out by the day governing businesses and activities with far less comparable risk. Eight pages of regs for daycares, when children have been proven to be essentially unaffected? Okay. Yeah, my 7 year old is going to wear a mask all summer! Thanks, **********.

TEN pages of regs for knothole leagues, prohibiting little boys from high fiving their buddies? K.

Oh, and you’re not allowed to shoot the **** with your barber while he’s trimming your ten weeks worth of nasty lettuce. Got it.

It goes without saying that this is all hysterically non-proportional. I really do not even know how to respond to it in a rational manner. It is stupefying. It is asinine. And Kentuckians would do well to ignore it all and get on with their lives. They can’t arrest all four million of us.

You do realize that Andy banned Kentuckians from leaving Kentucky* also.

On non-essential travel. Work, grocery store and care of loved one was approved.
So I guess it's a restriction on people that wish to travel out of state to socialize.
It would be Kosher for a group to go to NYC and come back for a road trip.

The Governor in Florida issued mandatory evacuation orders in 2019, that should be illegal then. Curfews was issued in North Carolina.

the ban to travel to Tennessee looks especially stupid now. At the time they had “more positive tests” than Ky. But they were also testing 4x as many people. Andy thought he was so smart. Turns out, Tennessee had a hell of a lot better leadership than we did. More tests, fewer deaths and 1.5x lower unemployment.

Yeah, but you left that out until you looked it up, then you had to defend the nonsense.

They can use an infrared thermometer to take your temperature from a distance.

Current mortality rate for the US......

0.029% of the population. You read that right. 97K deaths....328.2 mil Americans.

What. The. ****. Are. We. Doing.

Here in KY, the absolute farcical idiocy of this is even more astounding.

0.0087% mortality rate. 390 deaths....4.468 mil folks.

Lets go live to the governor's mansion in Frankfort for an update:

I was off in my exact #’s but the soccer match is to blame for a huge spike in cases.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ws...d-off-italys-coronavirus-disaster-11585752012

Though it is impossible to pinpoint the moment of transmission and Italy hasn’t counted how many people who tested positive attended the match, epidemiologists uniformly view these mass gatherings as accelerants to widespread infection.

Weren’t people freaked out about spring breakers in Florida? Nashville SEC tournament weekend? Mardi Gras in New Orleans?

Hell I was watching NBA TV as they were cutting in to cancel a game because a player tested positive. A player who jokingly intentionally tried to spread it to everyone else on the team and, what, one other person got it?

There were plenty of sporting events happening in the US up through mid March.

Point being, every prediction the “experts” have made so far has been wrong. So I don’t really care to hear assumptions that a soccer match is to blame with no actual data. We can just as easily attribute the disease to lunar cycles if we’re picking random events but not actually studying cause.
