Get staff back and trained on how to follow procedures, build new outdoor seating, supply lines for what ppe may be required, stock inventory. Alabama and TN released guidance over 3 weeks ago. Even if you're going to remain locked down it would've been smart to allow businesses to start planning rather than now they'll either have to rush it or just delay opening.

The Florida governor required a negative test result for nursing home residents to return to their care facilities. California governor paid facilities $1k per person to take them back (sick), NY, NJ, Michigan forced homes to take sick residents back and “isolate” them.
That’s a simple reason why the numbers are so different.
I do not know what KYs policy was - but we did horrible with nursing homes, that’s for sure.
Well no one was dumb enough to think any restaurants would be able to open with no restrictions. They should have been already on top of most of that stuff. Don’t worry you will get your overpriced steak soon enough.

you obviously haven’t looked at any of this objectively. Florida reports their #’s with more detail than any other state in the nation. They report county level #’s every day. Florida’s done a good job of dealing with this. They had a unique challenge early on. Droves of NYC folks won’t the resources to get out of nyc rushed to the east coast of Florida. They contained the outbreak related to that rush very well. No overcrowding if hospitals. And a good mobilization of testing.

At this point, the economy is devastated everywhere. It's high time to just this thing rip and see what happens. I suspect the consequences of the virus will not be markedly different if lockdowns were maintained.

Going to be interesting to see what happens when all these lobbyists start to realize we aren’t, and have never been “all in this together”. If your insurance policies covered shutting down due to actual communicable disease, and not shutting down due to a dipshit governor who was way over his head, you may be **** out of luck.
Obviously half the state is going to direct all the blame at the insurance companies, not the guy who was dismissing small business owners who were asking him to take a more measured approach as “lobbyists” while posting snipers on rooftops.

He was quick to bash Bill Lee and Tennessee. How stupid does andy look now? They have fewer deaths and have tested triple the # of people and double the people per capita.
He was quick to bash business groups for asking why we were the only state shutting down certain types of businesses. Chiropractors were his favorite target.
Next he went after churches.
