No one on earth is waiting 3 hours to eat.

I've seen posters willing to die on a hill for some stupid assertions, but this is near the top.

Literally go to any kind of popular urban restaurant in this country pre-corona and this happens all weekend long

Protests are breaking out nationwide and many governors will cave in. One is happening in Boston now. With thousands of people gathering in protest things will loosen up. No way a governor wants to be responsible for killing a protestor. The entire country will explode if one of these protestors is harmed.

If you doubt me, look up Kent State. That was the end. The nation had enough
Do you think the protesters should carry guns?

“Protesters might be taken more seriously”- I agree, and if anyone knew my views on this whole mess, I would be lumped into the red neck crowd. But we all see it constantly in every protest from both sides, extremists. No, you don’t need to carry a gun to a protest. What the hell are you gonna shoot? That’s why protest don’t influence anyone, too over the top. The wrong people doing the protesting does more harm than good. Just be patient and protest with your vote I say. But what do I know. /rant.

Ireland doing a 5-step plan, that includes restaurants opening on June 29th, and pubs opening August 10th.. although not sure about how they classify a place that does both.

They have 5 million people, 22,000 cases, and 1,300 deaths.

Seems to me like they are playing it a bit too safe.

It's hardly atypical. Ireland takes pride in being the first nation to introduce a full smoking ban in pubs. The historic rebellious nature of Ireland (and of Scotland as well) is long gone. Not with everyone, but with a majority.

The people protesting are nothing more than the right Wing’s version of the left wing nut job protesters.

they’re loonies just like the BLM protestors were loonies

What’s going on in Kentucky is unfortunate because there are legitimate things to be mad at beasher about other than having to wear masks.

he bashed Tennessee when the reality is that their governor ran circles around Andy in terms of actually governing. We are 47th in the nation in testing per capita. Huge swaths if the state has to drive over an hour to get a test if you are asymptomatic. Tennessee has 33 sites around the state if you want a test and are asymptomatic. Tennessee is 9th in the nation in tests per capita.

we’ve been awful in our unemployment delivery Tennessee has done well.

The rebel flag waving lunatics need to go home. There are serious discussions to be had. It’s time to demand more widespread testing so we can reopen our economy.

It is difficult to feel sorry for Kentucky because thus is who the majority voted for. The media says he is very popular

If I had him for a governor I would be concerned with the job loss. This will be difficult to overcome.

The 2019 Kentucky gubernatorial election took place on November 5, 2019, to elect the governor and lieutenant governor of Kentucky.[1] The Democratic nominee, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, defeated Republican incumbent Matt Bevin by just over 5,000 votes, or 0.37%, making this the closest gubernatorial election in Kentucky since 1899.

---------

Beshear won because many conservatives like me simply didn't like Bevin. I wasnt going to vote for him, nor would I vote for Beshear. So I simply didn't. And Im not alone on that.

Looks like you have at least 3 more years and ;most likely he will win again if he runs. I think he has his eyes on a national position because he is so tied to the DNC. He is doing everything a Nancy Pelosi would do or a Chuck Schumer. With the media's support he should rise and shine. I understand his press conference are very popular, the women seem to like them and have made him a rockstar.

But looking at it from a long way off I fear the way he is handling the state will put them further down to the bottom. Other states around Kentucky are opening up and are not dictating the draconian rules he mandates. Your economy will suffer. But doesn't Kentucky's economy always seem to suffer when others around you prosper.

Lexington cases since 4-24.....3-9-3-1-3-4-4-6 and then 33 over the weekend at the Fed Med Center.

We should have been 100% open by now.

He won by about 3,000 votes. I ain't sure about the results but he's hardly as popular as some like to portray him.
The media are about as trustworthy as Baghdad Bob.

DeWine said yesterday Ohio would announce a plan for reopening restaurants “in the next few days”.

He finally actually started consulting with restaurants last week, so hopefully they have some strong input and take the small independent restaurants into account, not just the people who were connected enough to get on his advisory panel.

I have zero optimism or faith they’ll do the right thing, so hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised.

Getting back to what this thread was intended for, business related reopening.

PPP forgiveness info https://www.journalofaccountancy.co...-laid-off-employees-refuse-to-be-rehired.html
^Addresses the size issue and people refusing to return to work. For anyone dealing with the loans.

Kentucky FINALLY released a few(really ****** guides) to industry specific re-openings(only 3 weeks after Alabama): https://govstatus.egov.com/ky-healthy-at-work
^Summary of those -> everyone wear masks.

Key wording on masks....to the "greatest extent practicable".

If you show up to a rally playing dress up like special opps soldier carrying an assualt rifle OR you show up with a rebel flag you look like the ******* they want you to be. Ts.

That **** is indefensible.

Well, that's kind of the point...you can be that *******, it's completely legal and within your rights. Quite a bit different from the "********" on the other side who protest against taking away rights and changing the constitution.

Wear your ***** hat or your rebel flab. Idgas. One group is marching to preserve our freedoms given to us by the constitution, and some might be carrying weapons they are allowed to own and carry in order to fight A TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT. I've never seen more tyrannical bs that what I'm seeing right now. It's shocking, and really hard to describe...just not something I ever expected to see in this country, particularly here in Kentucky.

So, yes, while they may look stupid, might look like they shop at The Walmarts (gasp), they are marching for and promoting freedom, which is a far cry from what the counterparts on the left, and those softies in the "middle", are doing.

I don't know why anybody would give a crap what the communists think about someone's appearance.

Ohio House passed a bill that would limit Acton’s ability to shut the state down without legislative approval. Now it goes to the Senate.

DeWine is supposedly announcing plans to reopen dining in restaurants tomorrow. Hoping it’s something reasonable, but I don’t have my hope up.

Meanwhile sounds like Daddy Andy is going to revise his meaningless travel bans to try and keep people from leaving KY. No word on restaurants from what I saw.

DeWine said outside dining May 15, inside dining May 21. Requirements to separate, etc. but not percentage limitation.

Barbers, salons, etc. May 15.

Sweet...definite road trip given how our numbnuts is going to crush every dining establishment he can before June.

We're about 10 days away from being able to figure out if re-opening will cause massive increases in cases and overwhelm healthcare facilities in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas. I don't think we will see it as big parts of Georgia and Texas were pretty much open anyway. We are two weeks away from getting some of our lives back. The sacrifice to this point has been justified. We just didn't know enough.

Hopefully two weeks from now we can get our masks (yes, get them) and go and be about as normal as we can be, except for big gatherings.

He can take his travel ban and stick it
