The covid thread posters have been wondering why the outbreak was seemingly getting worse in LTC after the lock down. We've been batting it around for weeks. Fair to say I have no knowledge of how these places operate. However, I can't imagine the justification for not only allowing them to take back infected patients but in some cases require it or pay the facilities extra for it.Shutting down the economy for people who aren’t at risk, while requiring nursing homes to bring infected people into close quarters with high risk demographics is such an incomprehensibly stupid response, it’s hard to believe these governors were acting in good faith.
And that’s not Monday morning quarterbacking the issue. You can probably find plenty of posts in threads on this website criticizing the mind numbingly stupid decisions in real time.
Same with Italy.^^^the Washington state episode early on should have been a warning.
So glad UK spent all that money on that as well as "we're all in this together" TV advertisements serving zero purpose while they layoff so many folks because they cant afford their salaries. HmmmUK tearing down their field hospital.
Sure it’s just a pure coincidence they got the deal [eyeroll]There's an article somewhere, maybe Lex18, but the company who go the deal is owned by the Lundergans. If UK didn't make the decision to take it down by Saturday, it would have cost another $1.6M.

Because no one had the courage to push back.$160M loss for UK Healthcare....
Meh. It being mentioned today on reopening isn't a coincidence. How many other specific cases have we discussed like that? Complete scare tactic. After it was delivered he could've spent 30 minutes explaining a child has a better chance of getting hit by a meteor and it wouldn't change the perception. As of Jan 20, in KY we had lost 2 under 18 due to the flu. As of March, the US lost 136 children to flu.
Drs say these rare freak reactions that have been shown in NY happen with other Coronavirus’ as well. It sucks - but children’s health and safety vs this virus is one of the positives and I’m glad Dr Stack had a backbone to emphasize its rarity.
I agree that was the purpose for Beshears antics. I didn’t watch - I was just surprised that Stack said it was very rare (saw it in tweet form). I really wouldn’t even expect that much out of them.Meh. It being mentioned today on reopening isn't a coincidence. How many other specific cases have we discussed like that? Complete scare tactic. Lol. You kill me.Can the legislature stop that jackass from trying to scare the hell out of people? This is total ********.
Probably in response to the UE negative editorials today. Can the legislature stop that jackass from trying to scare the hell out of people? This is total ********.
RQArnold was also complaining about Tennessee back in March; I don't believe that he has commented lately about that subject. I don't recall if the Fuzz persona had similar complaints.I just think it’s funny how much he complained about Tennessee but overall they are doing better than Kentucky.
Do you also find it amusing that no less than two Federal Judges have already reversed his decrees as unconstitutional? I'm aware of two; perhaps I'm missing some others.Lol. You kill me.
Which ones?Do you also find it amusing that no less than two Federal Judges have already reversed his decrees as unconstitutional? I'm aware of two; perhaps I'm missing some others.
Which ones?
I meant decreesFederal Judges Bertelsman and Van Tatenhove. It was Federal Judge Walker what reversed that idiotic degree from Louisville Mayor Fischer.
Travel ban, and in-person church. In Fischer's case, it was an even more ludicrous ban- a ban on drive thru church services on Easter, no less. His *** needs to be recalled, and forthwith.I meant decrees
So glad Tits Palumbo is on the scoop
17,101 tests processed over the weekend - 246 positives. 1.4% positive rate. It’s drying up, thankfully, but going to have to move things along. Stay on toes, but this is very low. Can likely contact trace with numbers this low. Back to work ky
I don’t think we are there yet in Ky for asymptomatic testing. Not that there isn’t enough testing - but to make it effective, you have to do it strategically.
I’m a bit more disappointed that they haven’t completed an antibody study yet.
Yes I’m sure you can on both - have even looked into antibody.Andy has consistently stated that anyone who wants a test can get a test.
Antibody tests have to be ordered by your doc...I had one last week and am waiting on the results.
