As someone who has lived in Indiana most of my 41 years, Indiana isn't too bad. Sure, the Hoosier fans get annoying (or used to when they had something to talk about), but the state isn't too bad. Plus, we have the Indy 500, which is an absolute blast! In terms of national economy, I'd say California. All those tech and pharma companies, as well as thousands of smaller companies, have been moving to tax friendly states like Texas and Florida anyway. Bye bye Cali.

EDIT: Florida is valuable because all the crazy stories of the weird ish Floridians do on a daily basis.

I love Indianapolis and anyone who would "get rid" of Indiana is also "getting rid" of ST. ELMOS which is blasphemy.
