would you attend? Or if you weren't there but would pick two to go back and witness in person, what would they be? Could be games in Lincoln, on the road, bowl games, anywhere!

For me:

1995 Orange Bowl vs Miami
1978 vs OU

Both great but nerve wracking games. 1995, nice weather, 1978, cold as heck, equally as good as it gets for me.

That is a tough one because there are so very many.

Wasn't there, but the 1971 Nebraska Oklahoma game would be #1
Was there, I'll say my very first game with my father 1968 loss to Missouri.

I'd pick two games that I watched on TV but didn't attend:

1971 game at Oklahoma
1972 Orange Bowl against Alabama

The 01 Notre Dame game was the night I met my wife for the first time.

Would take the 94 title game and the 97 title games to be at.

I have to choose last year's Oregon game. That was the last husker game my Dad and I saw together before he passed away in November.

I know this game isn't a National Championship game but the 1988 Neb Okie State game was incredible. Ken Clark went nuts and Barry Sanders was the best running back I have ever seen in person...unreal game. Barry Sanders ran through our defense like a hot knife in butter. Winking

Remember the controversy about how it wasn't a night game? Was the prevailing reason was conflicting with the Aksarben ball, rich folk couldn't thus do both? It was homecoming as I recall. Gracious that was a long time ago. Wild football game. No defense.

I saw My 2 favorite Husker games ever in person ('95 Orange Bowl, '96 Fiesta Bowl), but would have enjoyed being at the '78 OU game.

Didn't NU put up like 42 points in the 1st half or something? I was at that game and remember Sanders just killing us but we were scoring so many points it didn't matter. Kenny Clark had a great game.

Didn't Clark finish with more yards than Sanders? I could be wrong, but that's what I recall... Sanders had a much tougher time against our defense, and his yards were likely more impressive, but I thought Clark had more...

If I could re experience a DONU game again... my first choice is 1995 NU vs Arizona St at Memorial Stadium. This was the 2nd game I ever saw live. I was 7 years old.

My second choice is the 2009 NU vs OU game. I remember this game for two things. I was visiting my father that weerkend, and we went to the game together. We got to the parking garage and I suddenly realized that I had forgotten my ticket.

We sped home grabbed it and parked. We had little time before the pregame and we ran atleast a mile to get to Memorial Stadium.

Whenever I go to a game with my father, it's turned into a joke if I have my ticket or not, lol. It's a great moment with my father I'll always remember.

Edit: Oh yeah! The game was one of the loudest games in my recent memory that I have been able to attend..... and it was also us beating OU, so that is excellent in itself

And to answer,

Any of those games in the late 70s when my brother would whisk and sneak me in with a case of iced beer backpacked to his 10 year-old sibling's body. Wow!

At Washington in 97 or Osborne's last against Tennessee, two of the last places I can still place my dad without the need for a photo. Dammit all.

The rest of them are just games.

1977 Alabama at Nebraska: Ignorant and confident, I thought there was no way Bear Bryant wouldn't walk out of Lincoln with a win. So I skipped the game, gave my ticket to a buddy from my hometown and went down to O Street and bought a couple of kegs for my house at 10th and Y. It was a great party, but man....
The other game? IDK, probably 1994 Colorado at Nebraska. Had to work.

Three for me: 1977 Alabama, 1978 Oklahoma and 1994 at Kansas State, a game with so much on the line that we never should have won. What a great team effort that day.
And Mel, you're welcome. Dad always gave me $10 for getting you in free.

Clark scored our first play, then we got a pick 6, then we scored in 2 plays next drive. It ws 21-0 after we had only 3 or 4 offensive plays in the 1st qtr. Think after 1 it was 28-0. Crazy stuff and fun to watch. Its on youtube, watched first half last month.

You are correct, both had amazing totals around 250 I believe, but Clark outyarded Sanders.

I was there, great game. Sanders, Mike Gundy and Hart Lee Dykes just shredded our D in the 2nd half. Thank goodness for a big lead.

Aside from the NC games we won... the 1994 Colorado game stands out as a game I would have loved to have attended.

2001 Oklahoma was probably the best and biggest game I attended live. I've seen a lot of close games and wild endings.... but the huge game atmosphere was incredible. They were defending national champs, both teams undefeated, black 41 flash reverse pass

Games I would again attend in person: 94 Colorado; 96 Fiesta Bowl. I know the 95 Orange Bowl is a more seminal game in Husker history but the Orange Bowl was a dump and having to deal with Miami fans was not fun as compared to perhaps the most fun bowl game to watch ever.

Games I would attend if I could (but didn't): 1978 Oklahoma; 1970 Oklahoma. I understand that the Game of the Century is regarded as a better game; however I would always choose a home game over an away game.

saw 96 fiesta bowl, 01 OU, and 09 OU.

95 OB, game of the century, 97 misery, and 94 Colorado would top the list of games I wish I could have seen.

Wow, Nebraska Fan, you must be as old as me. That game was my first Husker game with my dad. And, yes, I'd like to see it again. I still have the game program somewhere in my collection. The other game would be OU '78.
Nope just read on that run. every few years they recall Reynolds and the run.

Two I was at that would love to do again

1978 OU first game at Memorial Stadium with my brother, we were 15 and 14, cold as ....

1991 OU game, just started dating this little hottie from Houston, Aggie grad. Weather was miserable and she stayed the whole game with no complaints, I decided ok she is worthy. We will celebrate 25 yrs in April 2018.

Hon mention

Crouch's run game at Mizzou
Alamo bowl vs Mich
Washington game at UW
Many OU games in Norman
VT game at VT great fans
