If you did your job as bad as Sirmon does his, would you still be employed?

I know a lot of anger is directed towards Petrino. He's the head guy and he clearly has lost some of his mojo, but the Cards do have the nation's 4th best total offense currently. That's all him. The defense, however, led by Sirmon is atrocious. I've woken up the last couple of mornings thinking today is the day he gets fired. Nothing. I did find it interesting he coached from the sideline instead of the press box Saturday. Didn't do a damn bit of good, but a DC needs to be with his guys.

Some numbers. Louisville slipped from 41st to 63rd in total defense after Saturday's loss. Against P5 teams, the defense is giving up 487 YPG and 39 PPG.

Petrino is going to take some heat hes like the CEO of a company performing poorly, may not be directly your fault but as the head guy its going to get a little warm. That being said no we wouldn't have a job if we were as bad as sirmon HAHA

Petrino is in charge of Sirmon just like the clown
Pitino was supposed to be in charge of the idiot fair.

Sirmon should have been demoted and Petrino should have promoted a different coach
to take his place or take over the job his self.

Petrino is stealing $4 million dollars by continuously undercoaching, which includes every coach on his staff.

If Petrino and Sirmon were in the Army, they would be relieved of command immediately.
Correction. Sirmon would be demoted first and replaced. If it didn't get better then the replacement followed by Petrino would be fired.

the "tackle coach
Somebody mentioned in another thread that teams don't even practice tackling, which leads you to believe that these guys have come here from h.s with a lot of bad habits. In h.s. you're typically one of the faster and stronger guys, tackling runners by the shoulder pads, throwing them down.

I think that some of these guys need to at least watch more film on tackling.there's no chance of playing on Sundays if you can't tackle consistently.

I'm in favor. Who on the D Staff could replace him, not the "tackle coach." I'll take an unknown at this time.

Literally anyone could do a better job. Waterboy, male flag dancer, the 12 year old in section 234. Anyone.

An equally legitimate question is, if you were as historically mediocre at your job as sirmon has been, would you be “stolen away” by another company and given a 50% raise?

I gotta say, I can't believe we were 41st before Saturday's loss.. Seems like it should've been far worse than that..
