I'm guessing that's DeVinner in the middle with the Ole Miss hat on? And are those two guys Ole Miss football recruits?
and the guy there, wearing Mississippi Bear apparel, is running to media outlets so he can be heard....

Is it just me or is he doing work for Ole Miss already recruiting wise? First of all, isn't it illegal to work as an agent for a school when you're not on staff? Also, we've worked so extensively and cooperated with the NCAA that I don't think we will have any sanctions that will kill us, if we get any. From what I've read, Auburn is going to get it bad. What a good week if this is true.
I've been pretty clear that I don't like this whole thing at all, but all he said was that he was not asked about any other school. The specific question was whether there were any other schools involved in the investigation, and he said only Mississippi State.
As far as "he knows"...bottom line is, this guy is a liar. That is fact.

But it is becoming clearer that he is a very minor player in
this situation. It looks like Dooley stirred all this up by
turning Bama in on Brandon Hill who we finished
second on but were rewarded with an NCAA look over
courtsey of Dooley. The Auburn situation is totally
different and allegedly we are not involved on
that one, thank the lord. I hear we are gonna be ok.

I have talked to several people who said that we will be ok that all of this is over a hat and a coat/jacket. During the interview, Devinner (sp?)mentioned something about cash being passed out by a booster. All of this makes me very uncomfortable. I wonder why all of a sudden he wants to tell all and "clear his name"?

Prolly because it's already known by ncaa. The ? Is did we do our diligence? Bet we did, and to boot "sung" before auburn did.
Someone just posted on SEC Rant links to a couple of articles about him from "a few weeks back when his name first surfaced about his allegations about Murfreesboro-Riverdale and recruiting. The TSSAA found his allegations baseless. DeVinner alleged that he was actually a coach on Riverdale's staff, when in fact he was not."

I'd be parading that around all over the place. The lads at our 247 site could use it..... some folks really freaking out over this, for whatever reason.
ETA and slightly off topic: We, as a fanbase, have GOT to learn how to handle success. These types of things happen when you have success. Heck... seems like something of this nature happens in T-Town every 3-4 years. Any "penalties" that may or may not come from this aren't going to automatically make us suck again. I think parts of our fanbase are so worried and paranoid that they think a proverbial slap on this wrist will send us back to occupying the cellar with the fighting Freezes.

say anything he knows about players receiving payment that they missed on. I think the Ole Miss stuff is just a coincidence. He said on H2H that he interviewed with State in January and its rumored Ole Miss is thinking of hiring him after this season. Ole rouge booster should've payed him to tell on I'Tavius Mathers and Jaylen Walton. You know he knows all the details of their recruitment and possibly others.

I think the story was that on the weekend of Tobias' official visit to Starkville, some guy with OM ties that was driving him up there "got lost." That's all I can remember. My memory is ******.
