You have to organize a public demonstration that makes the athletic department take notice. Bear with me here.

First a determination must be made as to who/what is the real reason for our football failure. Is it the AD, is the coaching, or is it the players. I contend it is not the players and that they should be supported. So it falls to either the AD or Coach.

My suggestion, and it would be a very public display while at the same time not hurting the players, is at the next home game against USC:
If you believe the AD needs to go, wear bright red.
If you believe the coach needs to go, wear bright green.

These are the colors of Christmas, so they are cheery. It would make a bold statement and stand out against those wearing blue/white or crimson/gold.

The statement also allows you to cheer on the players. Any tv audience will see the concern the fans have. Just a thought.

Chances of many of the BBN wearing red in CWS is slim. There are ways to voice your concern for the football team but wearing red in CWS and claim to be BBN has traitor written all over it.

Go Brown and Orange for Thanksgiving, Orange and Black for Halloween. Pink and Yellow for Easter. The point is it has to be away from the Blue/white if it is going to be seen.
Some how make a statement that is visible on tv.

Athletics have taken notice. The fact that there has been no scandals under Mitch speaks volumes. We could be the school under NCAA, IRS and FBI investigations. I'd rather not be that school.

You're assuming you can't have both. That's not a winning approach.

Here's my suggestion:

1. Get a hold of about $25 MM
2. Find out what Dr. Capilauto's aspirations are for the university; i.e., a new building/program, etc. that will further the university's academic mission.
3. Arrange a meeting with Dr. Capilauto and influential members of the UK BOTs.
4. Suggest to those in attendance at said meeting that making the appropriate and desired changes in the athletic department and the football program would go a very long way in making your donation possible.

Step 1 would be the hard part for most of us.

Otherwise, be prepared to wait a year or longer for the decline in Athletic Department to have the desired effect on the UK general budget before Capilauto comes to the conclusion that a change would do everybody good.

Yep, because every team in the Top-25 is under NCAA, IRS and FBI investigation. Great point!

There are schools not under investigation that win football games. If that's all they want I'll do the job for half of what Mitch makes.

While that is true, the players do not deserve that. If they are giving their all, they should be supported.
Whether the players deserve it or not, that is the minimum it will take. Mitch will not admit a blunder easily, he was holding on to Joker like a bulldog until the stands were empty. Maybe everyone will get a free Pepsi though.
