We're in year 5 and the best QB of Croom's tenure is a walk-on juco.

Although I recognize it is too early to pass judgement on Lee. Remember Carroll also looked like the stuff early on.

Remember, taht was because Carroll had very "little" coaching last year.....he just went out there and played football....

Don't worry dawgstudent, Josh Hollingsworth is on the way with his 30 career INT's in freaking high school. He is completing 51% of his passes so he will fit right in with that group.

Did I mention that we offered this guy 4 months ago when we could have gotten him the day before signing day and we are feeling a numbers crunch with scholarships? It appears that Croom's poor decision making isn't limited solely to game managment. The numbers thing will probably work out though since Patterson has decomitted, Montez Phillips might be next, and Bumphis is a long shot to sign with us.

but we will never know. Alabama HS football total offense record holder - 10,000 yards plus and threw for 6,000 yards.

I had the same thought a couple of weeks ago, in my list of many things that piss me off about Crooms.

Earn the following QB commits in your coaching tenure: Mike Henig, Adron Chambers, Ty Evans, Tray Rutland, Josh Riddell, Wesley Carroll, Chris Relf, Zach Smith. In two of your five classes, you failed to sign one quarterback. These eight have combined to earn a total of seven varsity letters, three of them by Mike Henig.
There are plenty more to add to this.

Your list brings me to another point - no QB has ever progressed under Croom & Woody. Everyone of them regressed after a year with Croom and the boys (due to injury, poor coaching or both). I wonder if any of them could have been a decent QB if they had quality coaching?

I don't see why any QB would want to play at MSU right now, you will be a worse QB when you leave here than when you left HS.
