I can't show enough restraint not to enter. Now I might leave rather early but I like watching football.

that should do it. I understand what your saying, I'm the same way. But to rid ourselves of this albatross, this is the kind of statement that needs to be made.

We are gonna drive to starkville, book a room, pay for food/BEER all weekend and.......have a pity party in the junction. No thanks. Leave the game when its rediculous. If I'm not going to actually watch the game, I will fish/hunt or go lose some golf balls. The only thing you prove by hanging out in the junction is that you are a little kid.

Yeah that is what recruits want to see. no one in the stands. Sorry but that is a dumb *** idea. I am not trying to hurt the school. Emails and complaints and people pulling there money back is the best way to be heard

We will not lose every single recruit we have and the ones even thinking about committing sure as hell do not want to look at a half empty stadium . I want the guy fired as much as you do, i just think there are better ways of going about it.

"I talk to [Alabama] Coach (Bo) Davis at least once a week. He is a cool guy and we have a great relationship. He taught me a lot at camp this summer and I know he could make me into a better football player at Alabama. They have a great program and have played really well so far this year."

He doesnt mention crowd size at all in his quote

"I am still going, unless something major happens, like loss of coaches or something like that. The loss of the whole coaching staff might be, well it is going to be, the only way I'd change my mind."
I'd sacrifice Cox from Croooms any day.

....keeping this class together has to be the most important priority for the rest of the season. There is only one thing that I can do about that, and that is to be at the games. Lose enough, and sooner or later change will occur, but I am not going to hurt the program by some kind of ill advised boycott. With our luck, nobody would show up, we'd lose the recruits, and he'd still be coaching next year.

I'll be at all the home games.

Greg Byrne has said that there will be an evaluation at season ends. At that meeting, Croom will be told that his offense is unacceptable. There is a 5 year track record to back it up those numbers on offense and Croom will look those statistics dead in the eye. At that point, Croom will be told that changes must be made. There will be the fork in the road at this point.
If Croom elects to go with change, then we'll see movement in the coaching ranks and Byrne will be behind a lot of those coming in. Should Croom be stubborn enough to say that if anybody is going to be let go, then you better start with me first, then Byrne will have to do the following. He'll say this meeting is over, meet with the president and the major donors and let those guys decide his fate. It will come down to do they (A) pay him off, which I highly doubt, and get him out of there, or do they (B) agree that they will bite the bullet for 1 more year and then remove him. I expect to see the bullet biting and then Byrne brings in his guy who will astound us all.

I think this might actually have the opposite effect than what you want. If we have good crowds for a 3-9 team and a great atmosphere, it might make us more attractive to a potential coach.
