If Louisville is now your football team, and you would go as far as rooting for them OVER UK..then.Louisville is now your basketball team, too. Yep.

Who the hell here is cheering for them?!
No but I lived under power lines. I'm not talking about people who begrudgingly believe Louisville is the much better team. Hell in in that camp. I'm talking about switching active rooting interests because they're good. Edit: even up to the point of cheering for them to beat UK.Did the OP eat paint chips as a kid? There's a difference between taking your head out of the sand and admitting UL has a better FB program vs. actually being a UL fan. I've seen nothing but realization that Jurich has smoked Barney in FB and that we need to get it together before WKU passes us.

Dumpster food actually isn't that bad.I would live in a box and eat dumpster food before I would ever root for UL.
Believe WKU passed us a few years ago unfortunately.Did the OP eat paint chips as a kid? Beat me to it! UL is a better team, Lamar Jackson is a hell of a player, the nation is talking about him.Who the hell here is cheering for them?!
I will take your word for it.Dumpster food actually isn't that bad.

Just curious how the OP is planning to enforce this new law....
I get into it sometimes over on the UofL message boards with my fellow UofL fans because I also follow UK. There's no contest as to which school I root for ... it's Louisville. But I like UK enough to keep up with what is going on with the program, and I have several friends who are very loyal and passionate UK fans..
Yes but for the dollar value??Malones is better than Long Jon Silvers TKK :bread:
Yes but for the dollar value??
How could you not pull for UL with the outstanding leadership and character of their administrators and head coaches?
I am just going to say one thing. I am one of the biggest UK fans ever. I will never root for U of L basketball. All that said I am a U of L alum and I desperately wanted us to hire Petrino 4 years ago. I love his style of football and I wanted to see UK do well. I am going to watch and root for this U of L team. I will still hope against hope that we beat them in November, but there is no reason not to get excited about a team in the city I live in from the college I graduated from. Sorry if that makes me less of a fan in your eyes. Football is, has, and always will be my favorite sport and my favorite school is not satisfying me in that department. Thus is like if your wife quit having sex with you. You may still love her, but your going to go get sex somewhere...because Louisville is now your basketball team, too. Yep.
There are several UL closet fans on here....that's who!Who the hell here is cheering for them?!

Who the hell here is cheering for them?!I would leave the USA and join ISIS before cheering for that sewer of a school..their so called fans nauseate me..Red is a color that signifies low class trash to me..No thanks..not in my lifetime..
No, I had to hear too much crap when I went to U of L, then Pitino showed up who I don't like. Won't ever do it. I don't hate them, I just don't root for them at all. Honestly I am pretty disinterested in basketball. I watch about half our games through the season and all of our NCAA tournament games, but I rarely watch any other basketball at all. I have probably watched more football games in the last 3 weeks than all the basketball games I watched last year. I am watching UK, U of L, and Alabama in college, and I usually watch Cincinnati, Green Bay, New England, Pittsburg, and Baltimore in the NFL.II can appreciate the fact you wouldn't root for UL over UK in football. That's the extreme I'm talking about certain fans going to. You went to UofL--that's cool...but in fairness, wouldn't it make sense to root for UL basketball if they were making a title run as well? Figuring football by far and away being your favorite sport it shouldn't matter, right?
You missed the point of the thread, used your username to make a point about your fandom-and then proceeded to tout that you're a Miami Hurricane fan by choice----and I'm the one who is slow. That's rich. Well played.Me thinks the OP is sssssslllooooowwwww. Not even the shortest of short buses was he allowed on.
Seriously OP, how do you get reception that deep in the hills/woods?
I dislike Louisville immensely, especially in basketball. Their AD makes me sick, their HBBC makes me sick, even their HFBC makes me sick, but I enjoy watching them this year.
As for my rooting interest and fandom, it should be easy for some by looking at my name, but for those that don't watch a lot of 30 for 30...I'm a Wildcat by birth, and a Cane by choice. So spare me the moronic bs about shaming people because they enjoy watching GOOD football.
You can cheer on whoever you want, but don't be shocked when you're called out on it. I said it earlier I toorecognize good football and Louisville is good--but that doesn't mean I'm going to root for them. No, I didn't miss the point.
People here know good football when they see it, and Louisville is playing damn good football. You and some others just can't deal with the reality that we f'n suck!
So you make a post saying that if you "cheer" for Louisville football we have to cheer for Louisville basketball??!! WTF do you think you are? You gonna come to my house and make me wear red? lol
Not sure what part you think I'm not clear on. You THINK you can tell others what to think and do, that pretty much sums up your OP and makes you look like a moron.

Seriously dude, go get pumped.
Oh..and you did miss the point.
So what is your connection to UM football?Who is rooting for them? Haven't seen anyone here including myself say they are rooting for them. I like watching good exciting football, and Louisville just happens to be putting on a clinic right now. Watching for entertainment is not the same as cheering or rooting, I know that is lost on you, just like football and basketball don't have anything to do with the other in terms of fan interest. It's hard to understand so take all the time you need. Maybe draw some stick figures or something.
So what is your connection to UM football?
So if by some cosmic circumstances UK and UM meet in a bowl. Which way you going?None. Wildcat by birth, and Cane by CHOICE...hopefully the big letters helped that time.
I remember watching my first Cane game before my first Cat football game. 1984 BC vs Miami, the Canes lost on Fluties famous hail mary, but I was fascinated by Miami, and watched them whenever they were on TV either here in Kentucky or overseas. There have been several notable connections between Miami and UK over the years, and the story of how Miami came to be a prominent football program during the 80's-90's is not only a good read/watch, but lots of lessons can be taken from it on how to build a successful football program.

Well then my apologies for not being clear w my OP. I was making a statement regarding TOTAL rooting interests..which included rooting for said "hot team" OVER UK.I had that fear back several years ago and it almost came to be. I would pull for my CATS to win the game, but pull for both teams to play well. Hard fought, double OT 3 pt win was my dream if they ever faced each other.
