If you want Croom gone

I plead with you...do not go to the game on Saturday! Trust me when I say people who matter will take notice. Feel free to go to the "jewel" of the Golden Triangle. Spend your money and support the Starkville economy. Tailgate in The Junction. Whatever. Just do not step foot in Davis Wade. With the game on TV, it'll allow Croom another chance to embarrass our program to a nationwide audience and we can still watch it without going into the stadium.

Besides his terrible coaching decisions and the fact he was a public relations disaster, you know how Ole Miss got rid of Orgeron? Apathy. After taking too much ********, they acted...by doing nothing. Guess what the announced attendance was for the Ole Miss-Northwestern State game? 23,283. The lack of fan support really got the ball rolling.

Is the game televised? My ESPN game plan isn't emailed until Fri, and the only other way I have to check is the header at the top of 6pack. What network?

At 6:00. Contrary to the plea by colodawg, I think it makes no sense to boycott any game. That is not going to influence our new AD. His first objective always will be to produce the best football team possible, and he does not require any boycotts by the fans to make hard decisions. He knows the consequences of fielding a poor team -- unlike his hard headed predecessor. We can do our part by supporting our players and our university by our attendance at every home game. The last thing we need to do is to give the Rebs more ammo to fight us in recruiting.

If I were still a season ticket holder and living in MS I would not boycott the game. I simply meant that I may not choose to watch it on TV here in CO where I now live. I never missed a game in the big three sports while living in MS. Sorry I gave that perception.

I have supported the staff from the beginning and have even defended the, especially Croom, when criticized. I can no longer ignore the obvious. Thanks to the repeated poor decision making by our coaching staff I no longer find joy in watching our team go out each week and run the plays our coaching staff calls and get blamed when they get it shoved in their face and after being thrashed on the field getting slammed by their head coach for "poor execution." Our kids have given their all to a coach who has accepted no of responsibilty for the state of our program and repeatedly blamed them for everything. It is time to wake up. The only constant for the past five years has been the coaching staff. Jackies players are no longer here for Croom to blame. These are his recruits. The players did not to decide to waste our time outs against LA Tech with three minutes left to go. The players did not choose to punt on 4th and one on the Aub 45. The players did not choose to go for it on 4th and 15 from our own 45. The players are not the ones who have a lack of confidence and kneel with 55 seconds left till half time with the momentum going their way. Croom has told us repeatedly ALL calls go through him and he has the final say.

Well now it is time for me to have my say. I will no longer be in attendace at Scott Field as long as Croom is our head coach. Even in our wins I no longer enjoy being a part of the game because I know any positive that happens is because our players overcame Crooms poor decision making and did not put our coaching staff in a position to lose our game for us.

and Crooms will be gone no matter what. Money matters more than anything, and if the dollars stop coming in to town, it will force immediate change

Having 20K at homecoming last year was the end of Coach O. Croom beating O just made it all that much easier.

Of course we have a banker for an AD so Im not sure how applicable that would be for MSU.
