dying with the rest of Jackson. Don't waste time or money trying to renovate them. Making them nicer won't draw any more people to those areas.
charge or if i had actual repsonsibility for financial success. in a perfect world i'd bulldoze them both and build a nice updated arena for concerts etc perhaps where the stadium is now. IMO there is no need for the stadium but that location would be great for the new arena. now paying for that is a whole nother thing....
it has a chance to be revitalized. They just need to tear down the coliseum, start over, and have the ability to serve beer.
It does need an upgrade, but its in pretty decent shape sans needing a new press box.
First thing I would do for Veterans is lobby to get at least USM to play a game there every year, then work with private companies to buy MSU and Ole Miss road games a la Nashville and Tennessee. To be completely honest, that place would be full for Ole Miss-Tulane or MSU-Memphis.
I'd tear down the coliseum and build a BancorpSouth Arena/Desoto Civic Center-type facility in Madison.
