and that is what the old bats accentuated. Our pitching now is better, but I dont think enough to overcome the difference in the pop fly home runs that happened back then.
That and the fact that ballparks just dont have to be so big to contain the current bats, so they might be considered crackerjack boxes with the old. Dudy Noble is still the same ole park.
I'd say going back to the old would have a negative affect on us on the road and a positive effect, slightly at home.
Overall, it would be negative until our hitting improved.
