This version of the development was scaled back from the original developer's plans which initially included restaurants and retail. I don't think it's out of this deal altogether, just one phase at a time. Hotel, conference center, office space, and a parking garage. After all that is done, I'm sure restaurants and retail will follow. Also trying to work a deal with MDOT to change the Russell Street/Highway 12 intersection and add a pedestrian walkway to University Drive rather than having people cross Highway 12 on game day.
